Ubisoft is starting to ramp up the mandate for 2FA. Right now, they are offering a free skin for Thermite on Siege of you enable 2FA. Soon, it will be required to play ranked on Siege. It will likely grow in mandate from there.

 

2FA on Ubisoft requires you to download Google Authenticator to an Android or iPhone device and sync it with your Ubisoft account. Upon login to Ubisoft, you will be required to enter a code from your phone in addition to your password. Reviews of the Ubisoft system indicate it isn't as smoother to set up as others, but overall it works well. I set mine up last night and it wasnt too bad.

 

So, get a free skin and get secure before ranked is off limits to you.
