From the DICE dev regarding RSP...

Featured Replies

Or the third option. Develop the core at a minimum of expense, hell start with the broken BF1 RSP servers, and give out the API and let the fan base do it as has always been done in the past. The reason its costing you so much is you want to monetize the shit out of it like everything else. There is a reason BF4 servers were so much better than BF1 servers they just refuse to hear why.

They didn’t monetize the BF1 severs besides the length of time you’d have access to it. It sounds like the revenue that brings in isn’t worth the trouble of maintaining those new servers and the dev/qa time for RSP.

I’d rather they cancel the BR mode and allocate those funds to new maps. They have to know people preferred the third party servers, they just don’t want to go down that route anymore. After reading his comments there’s practically no chance of RSP being delivered. By the time they finish whatever is on the current roadmap devs will be moved to battlefront next.

Well all know RSP is a mute point with EA and they will not let DICE do anything.

Even if EA did let DICE put in RSP, by the time it would get setup and implemented and patch to work correctly, (6 months in BF1 if you call that working correctly) it will be to little to late. The player count is obviously lacking. Sales would not be 50% off after only 1 month. This game does not have any longevity to last until RSP gets here. EA flat missed the boat.

Now everyone go buy ANTHEM. That is EA's next failure so go out and buy that game and support their shareholders. They need your money more than you need your money. You don't even have to play the game. Just buy it. It will be filled with lots of empty promises to get better, tons of toxic chat and don't forget all those cheaters the will support! Best of all, no admins to do anything about your complaints. Who wouldn't want to buy from a company with a track record like EA's. I am going to pre-order now!
