March 3, 200422 yr Um whats going on with my steam...i know there was downtime for the updating of the files....but on www.steampowered.com it says that the period is over and that when you go into steam you will update the files...which my steam did... and it said updation complete..but now when i try to go into steam..it says searching for updated files..or it asks me to login using my address and password...ANYONE know whats going on?? -Steve 8)

March 3, 200422 yr I had the same problem, but its all sorted out now, i just let it download and its working fine for me!
March 3, 200422 yr I just keep getting "Could not connect to the steam network" which is of course a lie since I already did the update part.I'm betting the problem is that the steam servers are overloaded because of a flux of updaters.

March 3, 200422 yr Yup i did, and tried again and it worked, if it seems to take a long time then cancel it and try again eventualy it should work
March 3, 200422 yr yeahmy was stuck at just Steam - Updating, but then I canceled it and tried it again right away and now it's dling1%....3%...6%....8%....
March 3, 200422 yr Hmm, apparently the update wasn't complete. After trying a few dozen times to connect steam, it started downloading the plaform files. Where it promptly disconnected me and is now causing all sorts of steam related access errors everytime I launch steam or retsart windows. It really sucks when you have the platinum pack and steam fails like this.Yay for steam! GrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrI'm not in the mood to even try and fix it right now.... good thing I can't get in the steampowered.com forums... I might post somthing unpleasant.
March 3, 200422 yr I give it up for today. I kill the task, it started again, download, download, download and then the message: server is temporarily not available, try again later.. i hate it... I go to bed now and try it tomorrow. When it doesnt work tomorrow: AAAAARRRGGGHHHH...
March 3, 200422 yr omgit downloaded the update, but now when I'm trying to open it, it just stays at that Loading Steam... screen...FOREVR!AH!must try out new FA models
March 3, 200422 yr That is exactly what happened to me.... eventually I got thorugh and it started to download the platform files.... pray it doesn't disconnect you during that part.
