Heres the problemWhen im loading up to join a Server it gets to precaching resources then it stops and starts again but briefly just after it stops i can see it saying , downlaoding file flashlight.wav....ive checked my steam folder and i already have that file so i see no reason for it to download again.Also, im unsure if this is just me but at a map change i get kicked from the server then it starts connecting to the server again, is this just me or is a a steam thingy.Any help on either probs would be appreciated.thanx

Ok, I've noticed the occasional attempt to download something funny, too. I usually see dust3 trying to be downloaded. It flashes really fast, tho. If it hangs on one of those dl's, just try to cancel and reconnect. As far as the boot and reload after the mapchange, that's normal for everyone now. According to my brother who plays CS, CS has been doing that for a while.

Ok i fixed the flashlight problem, i got [DoL]-Dozer to send me his flashlight file, i noticed that mines was called flashlight1.wav and not just flashlight.wav so after putting his in my folder it works.

Now when i try to join it does the same thing but instead its trying to download a friggin map :evil:

i think the update of steam made ur connection reset after a map change b/c for ppl who need to d/l the map. when i didnt have the nextmap during a map change it crashes. so steam fixed that issue so its nothing to worry about P.S.-i made steam ruin wellsy

2. Although i wasnt there i think i know the Grits problem....3 of[DoL] including myself clearly saw Grits asking Gator if he had "recievd his [TA] application".

 

w00t...he took his [DoL] tags off to ask him the question, then after he got his response he put them back on. I know our clans have had thier troubles but Grits clearly showed a lack of respect for both clans.

 

I am NOT balming [TA] for this.

Steam is causing all of these illegal errors. I've reupdated too. Its annoying the hell out of me. :evil:

I saw [EGGS]Grits today and he said that he was in TA before or something..I think the 2 Grits got mixed up.

for some reason my half-life been encountering errors plus in the middle of games everything will kinda freeze and start skipping i guess,it really suks some times it'll be fine for hrs and sometimes i'll get booted every map.i did the whole delete the blob thing and re updated,but it didn't help a bit so anyone know what to do or have same kinda problem?

i am getting the same crap that you got K but i dunno of a fix and its bearable...most of the time

Its kinda strange but I think the latest Steam update is to blame.

me to JerkovRandom predicts that the next "Steam Update" will fix this error whilst in the process screwing up 5 other things why did they have to take WON down? IF IT IS NOT BROKE DONT FIX IT.... of corse they have to try to fix steam because it was never ok to start with :evil: it seems to me like VALVE is treating the whole HL community like its beta for steam/HL2 and i dont like it, at all. :x
