Demo to Avi

Featured Replies

Hello guys i am sick and tired of using the prehistoric way of first transfering ur demo into bmp wich takes like 10gigs and them converting them to a movie also not having any sound suxors allot too. Is there any other way to make a video file directly out of a demo. I mean comon steam peeps u should be thinking about that

www.fraps.com/downloads.htm

get 1.9D

play the demo, record using fraps (itll do sound too if yo buy it!)

Frapps takes out the "converting to BMP, lining them up in a movie etc etc" as it does it all for you. However the files are HUGE (i am tlalking 2.5gig per 15 mins on full res@best quality (i think 30fps on my one)

convert the AVI into something smaller (DivX) with MSvideo editer/moviemaker or other movie software.

this will take it down to a usable size usually <100meg

Thx shotty. I got that program and also um.... "bought it". Its pretty cool. Also i use this AWSOME program called AVI compressor. Which makes the regular avi files from 160MEGS to around 10megs without no visible loss of quality
Ok, if I do a demo, then record it with fraps, my fraps movie is in fastforward. What's goin on? What can I do to fix it?

sure. As for how to make movies out of demo i know the regular way (PREHISTORIC) of making bmp then stacking them in a movie. But i was hoping that someone made a program that works well kinda like a AVI to MPEG CONVERTER. Shotty yes come on msn and ill send it to ya
