First of all, what the heck are they?I've been told they help aiming, add bursts of speed, and help mobility.Through the grapevine I've heard that scripts are the reason for those players that blur, dance, and jump all over your screen and still manage to shoot at you and somehow always own your face. They are supposed to be harder to make in 2.9 but still...Are there anti-cheat programs that can detect scripts on the users harddrive?

this is sickening. heres something ovious. hes played for 14 hrs and has 1911 kills. which is 136.5 kills per hour. i rest my case.
If you have proof of someone hacking, then let's see it. Until then, all you are doing is flaming someone who is probably in the top 5% of FA players. Now, having said that, our server (and our forums) aren't the place for flaming others.[rant]Just play the game. If you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all. This goes for everyone that feels they are sooo good that the only reason they could have been killed is because someone is cheating. Maybe it was a lucky shot, maybe it was skill, maybe it was a freak accident, but it happened, get over it. It's a game, so instead of spewing "bs" try saying "nice shot"[/rant]

Back on topic... The only scripts I have seen are ones like the crouch toggle, or one that would crouch while jumping. A while ago, someone posted a link to a CS scripting site, but I can't find the post or the link anywhere.

Also, I remember Klif talking about making a script, he might have more information about them.

I think a couple of people were banned from servers/leagues for using "zoom scripts" but I have no idea how they worked (and no desire to find out) From what I heard, they are putting something into 2.9 to stop this anyway, if I'm not mistaken.

yea, mega had a zoom script deemed illegal by CAL rules. I saw the video where he used it I believe but that could be different.

Yes, he did; yes, he was banned, FAL banned him as well.

hahahhah jimmy you should run for president lol!!!!!!

i dont run scripts sorry. i dont need to. natural skill does the trick.

as far as detecting and stopping scripts CD does catch and block some of them but most scripts in HL just change commands which you cannot really block. scripts are the hardest thing to block since they can easily be renamed and changed.

136.5 kill per hours translates to 2.275 kills per minute. That doesn't seem too unrealistic. YOu also have to consider, when sgossard is in our server, he just rushes with FAMAS, waits a bit, then ambushes people who aren't paying attention. 8)Hehe, I'm remembering about that script Klif had that bound his nightvision goggles and his primary fire key together. It was funny whenever he shot and you heard a ton of "beeps."
