Have any of you seen the Half-Life 2 video from E3 2004? OMGOSH! I want that game so bad now. I don't care how long it takes. 8)

Yes but what i dont understand is why it took 1 year to make a demo video of the game. I mean BF2 was announced 2 months ago and a video is already out. you know waht i mean.... so this said i hope it will appear as the engine looks sweet with the exploding stuff but i hope its in the next 2 years

I don't think that was a demo video. I think the guy was actually playing it. Sure it was some scripted sequences, but the dude was actually playing the game. (At least I hope he was) 8)

I used to have a paid Fileplanet account. The dl speeds were worth it. But I haven't been downloading as much as I used to, and I don't mind waiting so I stopped subscribing.At any rate, I'll have a look at it when I grab it. I wonder if it's the one I saw several months ago?

for one, the source code was stolen. They couldn't make of a video of their game with bits and pieces of it missing. Then you'd all say it sucked. So after that they spent alot of time securing their network, making sure no one could do this again. They then went on to rewrite that part of the source code. After that they tweaked some stuff and made the video.

That's what been taking them so long.

I believe now Hl2 is in its beta phase. Alot of retailers are saying there's going to be a September release since Sept is like America's summer.

ewwww, Paluch I just got a horrible image in my head. LOL, HL2 looks sweet indeed, though we all know how games that take forever to develop usually end up... At this point its looking like Halo2 will beat the living shiznat out of HL2 out of the box. However, HL2 will have the mod edge after a couple months.
