This may be the last message I will leave if I'm lucky, I may be able to drop a message in the forums every once in a while.I think its time for me to move on in life, and computer games just isn't a part of me that will be carrying on. I originally planned to do this later (when I started IB in grade 10, which isn't for another couple months), but it's just too much of a hassle (and pain in the ass) to handle. The pain in the ass part isn't the time I use playing the games: as most of you know, I'm able to juggle activities, sports, music, volunteering, CGs and school without any one area suffering too much (except CGs). I'm a top student at my school, and am eligible to enter the top academic school in the province. For a long time, my parents have been against this kind of game. I've argued about it, and they've let me play without too much scolding about it. However, whenever something bad happens (lets say, oooh, an 86% on a test, or when I make a bunch of stupid mistakes; I'm prone to forgetfulness), the first thing that they always blame it on is video games. Kinda annoying, isn't it?However, in the past weeks, the complaining from my parents about this is just unbearable to stand, and I'm not the aggressive type, or the type to talk back to my elders (much less, anyone). As a result, I wish to revoke/abstain my position within this current gaming community. Please pardon me, but this message will be copied/pasted on the other gaming communities I am part of.It has truly been an honor and joy to spend so many hours gaming with you guys. Too bad that it's going to end this way. I probably may not see any of you again, so I am bidding my farewell. Hopefully, I may be able to catch up with some of you some day. Just look for my tag (probably MERC_Fireball). Please don't beat me too badly for this! ;-)Regards,Fireball(April 17, 2003)
ALways the videogames fault ! Darn you videogames ! You're the reason I don't get good grades ! Not the fact that I don't put in enough effort ! I'm good at everything I do ! You are what's keeping me back ! It's all your fault videogames ! Someone needs to be blamed ! And your someone !! Darn you straight to heck.Haven't played FA too much lately so I haven't played with you much, however I do remember you. Sorry you kind of 'have' to give up FA, maybe some day you can return in the not to distant future... such as this summer ? :( Good luck with your future endeavors.
we are going to miss u here..man ur parents are mean..they cant even let a guy play FA?? video games dont do anything....they are just there for entertainment!!!well that will also happen to me ..in 2 weeks i have exams so my parents are banning me from playing games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i cant do anything abt it this SUCKS!!!!!!!!! well we'll miss ya i hope u can come later to play!!
86% on a test = my best mark ever :? well not reall, 'cause I always get 40/40 on my spelling tests. 4 times in a row ! Although my last one I did mget 39, but really it's still a 40 cause I didn't actually get something wrong, I just put 2 8s, instead of an 8 and a 6, 'cause we had to match words with definitions, and I musta gotten mixed up. Roaar. My teacher acknowledged that when she passed me the test, she was like, 'I know you actually knew that, you must have just messed up there'. and I was like yeah.Yeah.
so 86% is low, eh? In high school, maybe it is, but not quite. In college, 86% is actually pretty darn good! But your parents scorn you when you get an 86% on a test, eh? Your parents sound like the parents of this one girl I know.....she's expected to get high grades, and nothing else. lol....the pressure is on!
hahaha! Yeah me and WakeUp know a couple people like that. Still, I say grades mean total Bullplop.
Good Game man...farewelldammit...once videogames become a legal form of entertainment like movies and books...then...and only then will your parents, friends, and the big people in suits up in the office stop complaining about violence in video games. And you know why they complain?Because they didn't grow up with it and thus they don't understand it...and throughout all of the history of mankind (and womenkind :( )...we have always hated/hurt/killled thins we didn't understand.Take the colored people for example. Take...for example...the indians the pioneers discovered when they landed on America. They had a genocide of the indian race there. so we gamers just have to stay strong through it all...all the arguments, complaints, and accusations that people would do killing sprees or commit suicide over Doom or Everquest. Our time...the gamers time...will come soon...
ya, it would be a good idea...we'd strap him to a seat, staple his eyes open, and make him play it 24/7
