i dont know about you all but shottys begin to make me mad, now in 2.9 u can snipe with those shotguns, and then u are getting hit its killing from almost 1 shot :evil:

I havn't really seen anyone snipe with them but 1 shot kills are all aroundI've already taken a vow never to use shotguns...until they're balanced

this guy was on all yesterday using that shotty: rOgUeSpEaR i think.One shot kill to me EVERY TIME.He gets atleast 4 kills each death.Im not joking either, ONE SHOT KILL!

well me and mazor tested it, which involved me standing 25 feet away from him... the results were like this..he fired ALL 7 shells from teh siaga.. he only hit me with 2 pellets in teh right arm. taking my health down to about 95 (only 5 damage with 7 rounds)he moved to 20feet, again i was hit bt only around 2 of the shots each in extrematies... another 10 or so.We moved closer and closer.. doign the smae thing.. at 15 feet he emptied a whole clip into me causeing me to go down to around 45 health with NO bleeding.the damage started below 10feet.The weapon IS affected by armour and it ISNT overpowered. in CQB (<8feet) it is a 2 shot kill weapon.. in CQB (<5feet) it is a 1 shot kill weapon if some pellets strike the face/head hitbox.Above about 15 feet the weapon is totally useless against anything. the spread will fill the entire blue gate (shots all over it) standing by the fence in teh square..this gun is NOT buggy and it is NOT overpowered.. its justy like the famas was in 2.8 only singleshot and requiring a bit more skill to use.If you would like shout me and i shall set up a game and show you exactly how it was done. the Shotties are now no more damaging than the famas or AK 47, or the new M14 or M4!!!!

well, the fact that it's a 1 shot kill to the chest is strange. It can be annoying.And what shotgun did you use? I find that the remington is more powerful than the saiga.

we tested both, same test, almost identicle results.. they are almost totally ineffective above around 15 feet... teh gun does alot of damage, but if i go up and empty a 12guage in a mans chest at 0feet, with or without combat armour that man is dead!

The remington is WAY more powered than the Saiga.Ill make a demo of Roguespear using the shotty ingame.We'll see how Cale like's that.

of course one shot kills are going to happen, A the bullet system now registers shots, you can take someone out with TWO good uzi shots now (tried that) i was using the saiga yesturday and i went 25kills 12 deaths, its easy, if you aim for the head... and know how to use it.

better still, take a demo f ME using the siaga... i at least break even... besides i remember this position in 2.8 with the famas, and now consider this whining about the siaga cause it now works like it should..

Ive seen the guy take out 7 people before reloading.Hows that?

headshots, i have done it, i have seen Gossard blaze round a corner with teh famas and take out 6 or 7 people on 3shot.... i was playing thantos last night and i got 4 kills with 4 shells, me going around aiming high at CQB its easy. Long range i will get killed every time tho,Doing some mroe espirementing, the gun is powerfull no doubt, but it is purely luck AND LUCK ONLY, that one of the pellets hits your head from accross the map. it is not a regular thing like sniping with the SSG or SVD... sometimes it will happen sometimes it wont.. i

yeah, i was never able to be one of those ppl perfectly in tune with the reticle. I was owned by azntwon like 5 time yesterday with the saiga, even though he rushed me from 20+ feet away and I was pumping M14 into him. Guess I never caught on to how to juke left and right and avoid being hit while rushing either

since when did AZN use the Saiga? =OWhere'd ur Famas and M82 go?

I tried using the remmy for about an hour last night, and I competly agree with shotty. It is completly useless from long range. But, IMHO it is a bit too effective at CQB to be worth just 8 credits.

The point is: Never let someone with a shotgun get close to you! :wink: Shoot them when they are far away. Switch to single shot and pop their tops off.

If it wasn't a so called bug what they should do is increase teh xpread so that the distance is so long and ever so lightly take the power down couse the shotty should be one of THE BEST cqc. The 12K I will argue with that one couse it should not be anywhere near as powerful at the Remmy. The funny thing I find is that half the people that are complaining about his though are the people who whored the famas when it was powerful so yea that all im sayen about that. That speaks for it self.Also not only rOgUeSpEaR was usen it and owning it don't forget about Viper here people jebus. I was kill rOgUeSpEaR with it just as mucha s he killed me if nto more. I feel so unloved. Not sayen I want that title but....Also to point out he has 36 kills with it I have 890 and the person in second place with remmy only has 299. Thats alot to catch up to.

i'm pretty sure the shotty is overpowered,aside from everything i've read here and f-a forums.i tryed it out once last night.and did better with the saiga then everyother gun i used all day.i was owning peeps that had been owning me everyother time .maybe just a good map but most likely not,i think had i used any other gun i wouldn't have done that well.but i'm gonna go test it some more ..cuz it was fun-lol

I was playing Iwo Jima yesterday, before 2.9 i would get the 1911 and DE with heavy armor and pwn, serious pwning. Now I can't do it anymore, so I tried the Saiga and holy crap does it work, i was getting 3-4 kills a death... rushing. I also tried the m14 the other day and i just couldn't kill guys with it. With or without the scope I just couldn't hit anything. I'm not blaming the gun, I'm just saying I don't like it cause I can't hit anything with it.

Ban the damn shotties until 2.95 comes out.

rip, if you actually thought about it, shotguns are completly useless unless you are standing nearly right in front of the dude. They are balanced in perspective to the game.

personnally, i dont like the shotties now, I don't think they're overpowered so much as they're over accurate, i was playing thanatos and being taken out from shotty snipers in windows a good 300 ft from me in 1 - 2 shots with medium armor.

I was just playing on basrah and armory.Almost everyone was using auto shotties and it was so damn annoying to get killed one shot EVERY TIME.I even have pics from my console of like 8 kills from shotties in one single shot.
