Oh god no!I'm having some really weird monitor problems.All the red on my monitor seems to have been sucked out!Like, when I start up AA, all four blocks behind the two AAs are blue.On the Mafia icon, the red that's supposed to be in the background is gone.Also, everything seems to be dimer or darker.Like these forums are the usual green, it's much darker, and the smilelys are like a mix of green and yellow, not just plain yellow.Am I having monitor problems?Please don't tell me my monitor is dieing!What can I do!EDIT!AH! my Sig!it's just black, and all I can see is the white letteringHELP!

Yar, I half agree with bangbang, but run it through with a blade, no smashing needed.

the blade is way to clean het needs to get his anger out so smashing it wil produce a much more satisfying crunch than a blade

first, degauss it, then tell us if anything changed.

Take a screenshot. Open the screenshot. If the problem shows up in the screenshot then its video card related. If the image looks normal then its your monitor.

it wont help if he puts the pic here coz all our monitors are ok so if he puts a pic we will see the correvt pic not the screwed up one.

Not really.If hes card messes up colors, screemshot will show messed colors. If its the monitor, it will look okay. At least its how i think its done.

I believe it's his video card that have problems... Had somethig like this 3 years ago ----> the card was kaputt.tsss and they stole my idea of the mallet / sword... (see a past post of Punisher for his computer problems) tsss :twisted:

Yes, the image needs to be viewed on a good monitor and video card, so upload it here. If the problem is the videocard then we will all see the problem in the image. If we see a good image unaffected, then the problem will be his monitor, and that's how its done, that or find a different monitor or video card to exchange out, which viewing a simple screen shot seems to be an easy solution to me.

some things to note:

 

-For me, the AVG Icon is screwed up. The bottom right box thing is supposed to be red, but for me it's like a very dark maroon.

 

-The Lighting on the 1337 guy is supposed to be like a yellow, but for me it's more greenish-yellow.

 

My monitor is a G54 IBM. That's the only real info I can find on it.

 

Graphics card is GforceFX5200 128mb, bought it last year.

Well i can see all reds in that piccy, the AGV icon is red and green and yellow. and the guy seems to be all the colors he should be... Try this. open up paint, and make a custom color (double click on any colour and goto more colours, see if you have any red..also what is your signature colour? if it is blue then you may have a setting problem...try looking at your Gforce control panel and see if it has an EQ thing, i know that i can adjust my moniter to any colour i want!

My sig with the SWAT guy is all blood red with white lettering...it's just black and white lettering for me

 

I just tried degaussing my monitor, and it didn't go anything...

 

I went into Colors>Edit Colors>Define Custom Colors and there's no red only yellow, blue, and black.

 

In my Nvidia Device Settings, I can goto Desktop Colors Controls and there are 3 channels on the left side.

 

A Yellow Channel

 

A Blue Channel

 

And A Red Channel.

 

When I goto the blue or yellow channel, there's like a grid thing and along the outside of the grid is either a yellow or blue border.

 

But for the red channel, I don't even see the red border, it's just black.

 

Also, if it means anything, for about a week now I've been having Low Disk Warnings. I only got 143mb of space of my C drive and it says I need at least 200 for everything to work good.

 

Could this affect anything?

OH NOES! By the hour more red and green seems to be seeping out of my monitor!

 

Now, instead of a strange maroon color, everything that is supposed to be red is black! Just plain black! GAH! And everything that is supposed to be green is now yellow. GAH!

which means that it is 99% a problem with your monitor..try again on a cheap or friends moniter!

rofl, I find it funny to play NS now, because all the marines have a sandy color armor than green armor because all the green has been SUCKED OUT OF MY MONITOR!!!Anyway, I got loads of monitors in my basement, but I'm betting probably only 1 works...somewhere.Alot of them are old monitors that we had that died :)how ironic

I have enough money to get a new monitor, but I can't spend it. Got a class trip next week, and I'm saving the money to buy stuff when I'm off in Quebec. So I can't spend any money until after that.Anyone know where I can get some cheap monitors? Perferably on the net because we don't have too many computer shops around here

ahh its ur monitor...which one do u have LCD or CRT?? if CRT then open it up and look at the tube inside it if the tube is kinda blackish then u might wanna change that but instead of doing that u would rather buy a new monitor.

Your screenshot seems to look fine to me, so I would say your monitor is going bad. Your video card is able to output good video data to the monitor. The monitor just isn't displaying it correctly.Low disk warnings will not cause this.

Hey I have an old monitor that my mom is about to throw out. It works fine to my knowledge. It's a 15' CTX monitor I believe. If you want I'll send it to you so you don't have to spend your money on a new monitor for a while.
