June 11, 200421 yr Hey guys!I'm back from Quebec :(It was just awesome, went around, saw the sights, really enjoyed myself.Kind of tired right now. We got on the train for home at around 10pm and didn't get off till 12pm the next day. Then took a school bus from Moncton back home. Barely got any sleep with all the kids pulling "All-Nighters"didn't buy much, the tour people kept us moving about, but I did get these:1)T-Shirt reading "Every Body Loves Canada"2)The Last Samurai DVD (OMG! T3h Cover is francias!)3)A REAL Samurai Sword! MUHAHHHA.Kind of ironic, I bought the Last Samurai the day before I got the sword. But how can you pass up a samurai sword that only costs $44.99! Lots of people in our class got some and the teachers didn't really care. We even got to take them directly on the train with us. Seems the people in Quebec don't care about their train security.Anyway, now that my dad has gotten back from France w/ the digicam, I'll probably get some pics and post them up soon
June 11, 200421 yr 50$ for Katana? Its not sharp of course... and its just for show (not for battle i mean) i bet...The real thing costs hundreds of thousands of $$
June 12, 200421 yr Author it is kind of sharp. Like not sharp enough to run your finger long it and cut yourself, but it does have an edge...I'm currently looking into how to clean it. The inside of the sheath is dirty and everytime I clean it, put it back in, then take it out, it's dirty again!
June 12, 200421 yr when you draw a japanese forged blade.. it will bring you bad luck if it is scheathed without it having drawn an enemies blood will result in bad luck for you.
June 12, 200421 yr when you draw a japanese forged blade.. it will bring you bad luck if it is scheathed without it having drawn an enemies blood will result in bad luck for you. Or, that's not true. Because that doesn't make any sense.
June 12, 200421 yr Let me translate Sam.Gen. "If you take a Japanese blade out of its sheath and return it to the sheath without making the enemy bleed with it first, then you will have bad luck." Sheez. It wasn't that hard to comprehend. Sure punctuation would have helped, but whatever. 8) The real thing costs hundreds of thousands of $$ Hmmm... I highly doubt it would cost that much. http://www.historicalweapons.com/japaneseswords.html http://store.yahoo.com/greatsword/shintokatana.html These look pretty good, but don't cost up to $100,000 (US) price range. Usually less than $1,000.
June 12, 200421 yr  Now i only need those hundreds of dollars.BTW real japanese sworforger master's swords WOULD cost 100 times the price of these on yahoo.
8) No no, it's not that I couldn't comprehend it. It's just that, it won't give you bad luck, because that's not true. I was just saying that.
June 12, 200421 yr Author well, yeah those cost hundreds of bucks, because they're really fancyed up.Mine' just a plain black sheath. It's got a gold plated metal hand guard (I believe that's what you call the piece of metal between the grip and the blade) Metal caps on the end of the grip and the end of the sheath. There's nothing on the blade besides a serial number. It's got a wavy, whitish metal near the edge of the blade, so that's coolI just got one question. About the inside of the sheath being all dirty, it's really just filled with like this wax stuff that sticks to the blade when you pull it out. Is that supposed to be there? My dad says it helps it slide out of the sheath, but I don't really think so
June 12, 200421 yr Sam, not making sense and not being true are two different things. "Words mean things." That's what my dad always tells me. 8)and Kywalker, Japanese forged or not, a piece of metal would not cost that much (100 times more seems kind of exorbitant). Until you can give me a price based on some concrete evidence (like I did), I won't believe you.
June 12, 200421 yr The art of making swords is so rare now, that hand forged, razor-sharp blades SHOULD cost that much. Making of 1 sword usually takes year of few. Its a work of art on the highest level.
