June 17, 200421 yr For my second science project i have ultimately chosen:"Raman Scattering on Silicon Carbide nanotubes (NT). Comparison with additioned crystaline structure of Silicon Carbide."So far i have only finished the analisis of 2 different NT structures (SiC4 and SiC5). When i had the Raman spectra ready, my job was to identify the peaks. BUT, becouse it was only done 3 times so far (on world scale), i was walking blind and deaf in a sound-proof, dark room with no guide dogs. Results i am posting below.Today i got the Raman spectras of several SiC crystals (some with Fe or Mn additions). Now what i will have to do is to compare the results. If the NT spectra and crystals spectra match in AT LEAST one peak, my job will be to find out WHY.Funny thing is is still dont know HOW can i do that. Ive got no literature (we are the first group in the world to actually do it, or so my professor says) to have a comparison of some kind.Well. At least its creative in some way.
June 17, 200421 yr carbide makes for a good non-lethal sxplosive when done right especially when it's nano- size
