July 3, 200421 yr ok guys i got a question...im lookin to buy a 9600 XT 256... and i was wondering whats the difference between like Abit, asus, saphire and all those different companies and ATI?
July 3, 200421 yr saphire makes the 256 meg card... the rest use better ram but less of it... thats why saphire can afford to let it go at the same price or less.

July 3, 200421 yr Author so would the performance be different with the different brands? or would it all run the same generally
July 3, 200421 yr Yes the performance can be different with manufacturer due to the fact that they choose what memory goes on the card. The gpu is the same on all the cards. You at descriptions of memory speeds and you'll see they will differ with some manufacturers. The 9600xt memory speed is 600mhz effective normally which is used on ATI's card. With other manufacturers some may be 600 as well, but some may be 550, 650, 680.
July 3, 200421 yr Author no its because its gone off of the new posts list and you still havent gotten your question answered...because nobody really likes to go look through everything
July 4, 200421 yr http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=property&DEPA=0 Go here. As long as the memory and core clocks are the same. You cannnot percievably tell the difference between mfgrs. One thing to watch is the bundle they include with the card. Some have really good games included others do not. You are at $145 dollars. I would get this instead. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-145-072&depa=0 It is $30 more but smokes the 9600XT in every way. Plus Nvidia's drivers are always more stable and consistent.
July 4, 200421 yr Oh yeah go here too....... http://www.legionhardware.com/html/doc.php?id=295 And when you play a game. Do you really sy "Man that blood looks better on a Radeon"? Framerate rules. Fact.
July 4, 200421 yr if yo uget that 5900xt i found a great OC rate that is stable.. let me know and ill tel lyou clock/core/voltage
