July 14, 200421 yr For now something like 2 weeks, each time I play under Steam (FA or DoD or any other HL mod), after playing 5 minutes I got a cl_flushentitypacket : this sort of lag blocks me for few seconds and after I can play again (the game go on with me freezed). This is very annoying, and I don't know how to stop that. I've tried to disconnect my modem, running my computer, reconnect my modem and go back on the net but still flush... and only under Steam... so please help me ! If I can avoid reinstalling something it would be good.
July 15, 200421 yr Usually happens to me when I'm running bittorrent and I'm uploading. More than likely, you're able to receive packets from the server, but are unable to receive them.
July 15, 200421 yr Well, recently there has been a major slow down on the internet because one company had somthing happen to it and a it cause a ripple effect throughout the internet. See if hte problem persistes and then go complaine to the incompetent Tech Support people at your ISP.
July 15, 200421 yr Author I think it's strane that this happens to me only when I'm playing with Steam... nothing when playing D2 or just surfing... it's why I was thinking it could have a connection with Steam / the server. But maybe I should re-install everything... save if someone got the "miracle solution".
July 18, 200421 yr ah, the flush problemit's usually related to either your connection to the server, or your system (graphics card mainly) becoming overloadedI had my old onboard 16 mb card, which was truely 13 at best, and during some firefights my ping would shoot u and give me flush packet errors, but once I got my new card no problemso, it's either your connection, or your graphics card
July 18, 200421 yr Author Ok thx. But if it's my graph card I fear I'll have those flush for many time til I got enough money to buy a new one...
July 22, 200421 yr You generally get flush entity packets when you hit upon lag spikes essentially scrubbing all previous data you received as it is too old.
July 22, 200421 yr Author eh... so I got lag spikes with Steam every 5 miinutes....I knew I had to reinstall something  I'll do it this week-end.
