July 17, 200421 yr Does anybody know the name of a good, legitimate, error fixer that is downloadable?
July 17, 200421 yr Are these system file errors, or application errors. What operating system do you have. WinXP, try maybe the Repair program on the XP disk. Run scandisk. IMO most third party so called error repair software sux. There is a error debugger that comes with WinXP call Dr. Watson that when ran in the background it will catch errors giving you an idea on what is causing problems.

July 17, 200421 yr Author Windows 98SEApplication Errors, Kernal32.dll, Kernal386.dll, program crashes
July 17, 200421 yr Those are system files. One quick and dirty way to possibly fix this is to put your windows 98 cd in while in windows and start the setup file and reinstall windows on top of your existing install. It will not remove any of your files or applications. It will replace system files if damaged or missing.OrRun scandisk thengo to Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Information, then under the Tools menu there should be something similiar to System File Checker. It will scan for corrupted system files and replace them which you will need your Windows 98 Cd for.You shouldn't have any problems but its a good habit to backup your files before performing these kinds of operations.
