DirectX 9.0c problem

Featured Replies

DirectX 9.0c doesn't install on my computer  I downloaded both versions of it (online and redistributable) and i get the same problem. When I try to install, it skips the whole "installation" process and goes right to saying DirectX 9.0c has been installed successfuly. It doesn't install anything though, so I still have DirectX 9.0b I have Windows XP Professional, and haven't gotten the SP2 update yet (i think it was released today)

I've already tried downloading Colin Mcrae Rally 2005 demo and unfortunately for me it requires directx 9.0c so the game crashes every time i try to play
dx9c is still a beta version i would say just wait until they release it as an update
i can check into that after i finish my essay. i am about to start a beta section on my downloads for windows progs and tools like dx9c and windows mediap layer 10

really dont think theres a way to reformat your comp w/o deleting your files. you may want to save the files you hold near and dear.
