September 6, 200421 yr My being is dependent on 3 types of bread: #1 Bread for the body - any food (except one that is bad) #2 Bread for the mind - physics and, to lesser extend, math and programming #3 Bread for my whole being - music That last bread is most important to me, but i am not only taking. I try to give something back. Due to my lack of composing skills, i started transcribing/arranging my favourite music. Here are first 3 tries of that. I first created shet music, then compiled it to the .MID files. Thus the compilations are worse in quality than sheet. To view the sheets, you need Finale Notepad of version at least 2003. So far im not posting them. Heres the list: #1 FF8TimberOwls - 'Timber Owls' from Final Fantasy VIII. My first try. Its VERY SIMPLE. I used this song to test my skills in reading the melody correctly. Also pure transciption. #2 FF8Ami - 'Ami' from Final Fantasy VIII. Started third, finished second. Came out rather nicely. Its purely transcription, no arrangements were made. #3 FF8WatlzfortheMoon - 'Waltz for the Moon' from Final Fantasy VIII. Started second, but delayed the finishing touches for 2 months. The most complicated of the first three. Somehting more than transcription, but less than arrangement. Its something in betwee. I tried to follow the music line with slight touches here and there. Enjoy and gimme feedback.

September 22, 200421 yr What does "trolled" mean in this scenario? I'm confused. Thought it was a fishing term.
September 22, 200421 yr Okay guys, that was stupid. The guy is sharing his creativity with you and your being rude. I don't care how you feel about him, there is no excuse for ripping up peaple's creativity. When somebody shares their art with you, they are sharing a bit of their soul with you. The least you can do is give him a critique of the work instead of this crap.*disgusted*
September 22, 200421 yr lol haya, thats trawled, trolled is when a post that otherwise would be completely fine is utterly destroyed by pointless comments, and roach, you have to at least appreciate that ky has done the same thing in other intelligent posts
September 23, 200421 yr I don't care what he's done in the past. I'm telling you as an admin to STOP IT NOW! Two wrongs do not make a right!

September 23, 200421 yr i can see you enjoy the "lighter" and "happier" sounding music. i personally enjoy the "heavier", "scarier" (woot new word), and "faster" music. but i can appreciate the stuff you made. it makes you feel happy in an odd way, expecially "Timber Owls". i also noticed how you enjoy the piano. i have always liked the piano
September 23, 200421 yr I don't care what he's done in the past. I'm telling you as an admin to STOP IT NOW! Two wrongs do not make a right! What the heck are you talking about DR? That's some nice music. I always kinda liked that kind too from FF. (FF7 Aeries dying music always seemed cooler than 8 though ... )
September 23, 200421 yr i have no idea, i didnt do anything, another admin and an sc semi trolled the topic, but he took it out on me for some reason
September 24, 200421 yr Author Read a list, CC and You will know have i written them. The compositions are not mine, i were transcriber/arranger here. The composer was Nobuo Uematsu. Also i dont have the equipment needed to write with keyboard. I used Finale - written the sheets and compiled them into MID.I added a sample from that program. Its a first page from one of the pieces. See the notes for yourselves. If you had Finale Notepad (its a free donwload) i could send you over the whole sheets.
September 24, 200421 yr "Ami" is nice and soothing. I likes. "Waltz for the Moon" had a nice tempo; nice and lively.P.S. I know your real name now.
September 24, 200421 yr So what your saying, is you wrote the notes from just listening to the music? If so, I'm impressed.Wonder what you could do with some of Jeremy Soule's work.
September 24, 200421 yr Author Yes, thats what im saying. 'Timber Owls' and 'Ami' are purely the pieces from the original music. 3rd has my own additions.Right now im working on another transcription and 1 arrangement.
