September 9, 200421 yr Doc]Never Winter Nights never played it but heard it's good[DIAL]Doc Cow, if the wants an RPG, tell him to get that. I just bought this 11 days ago and I've been totally glued to it, and I'm just over a quarter of the way through the official campaigns. Not only is it Single Player, but it's also an ORPG. The system is entirely D&D based, and it sticks to it well the spellcasting is awesome, and the combinations of classes, spells, skills, etc are almost unimaginable. If he gets this, make sure he buys the NWN: Gold Edition. It includes the first of two official expansion packs, and is pretty much a necessity. Gold runs about $40, so not bad at all for an awesome SP and MP game. Gameplay: 9 Graphics: 9 Sound: 9 Replay: 10 Overall: h4x If anyone else plays NWN, PM me or somethin. I'll server up, or you, or we'll find one - whatever http://nwn.bioware.com/

September 9, 200421 yr i have a good rpg for ps2 called Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2its a really good rpg, plus i like how you can do co-op if you have 2 controllers.its different from baldur's gate on the pc cause you only control 1 person, whereas you used to have to control your whole party, but I liked it for ps2 a lot more than pc

September 9, 200421 yr Ok, the search stops here. If he likes D&D, then Neverwinter Nights Gold is all he needs, and then maybe the 2nd expansion, too The game owns so much it's unbelieveable. It even comes with the DM Client, so I can host a server as a DM, and control EVERYTHING. There's all kinds of online servers, everything from pure RP to just hack n slash. i have a good rpg for ps2 called Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 Baulder's Gate, BG2, and NWN are all part of the "Forgotten Realms," the world refered to as "Faerûn" IC. When you look at a map, Baulder's Gate is south of Neverwinter, both on the western side of Faerûn, on what is known as the Sword Coast. If you like BG and BG2, try playing NWN. I like it better
September 10, 200421 yr I played NWN but got amazingly pissed off because my graphics card couldn't handle it with the settings up all the way, but then I realized that happens with a lot of games ;)i don't know if I will be able to play online though cause someone. . . uh. . .. stole my cd key :Di didnt know they were all part of the same place, but I Know they are all very good games so cow's game should definently get one or the other, i'm leaning towards NWN because there is probably a lot more to it, baldur's gate 2 seems kinda short
September 10, 200421 yr Good point, Vesper. BG and BG 2 are pretty short, and aren't anywhere near as complex as NWN. The game claims that the Original Campaign has 60+ hours of play time, and each expansion offers 20+ more hours, for a total of 100+ playing hours, all in solo campaign. Well, I can tell you they're not kidding. I'm around 45 hours right now, and almost through 75% of the Original Campaign. Then there's the 20 or so hours I've spent online, in PvP servers, and also on RPG servers.
September 10, 200421 yr BG2 fore pc with expantion.... totaly rocks 200 hours of gaming fun, if you do all quests (BG2 alone) Max exp fore BG2 is 2.000.000. With expantion 8.000.000. So it is a real hard nut to crack. To be honest i am still stuck at it. Just cant defeat that dragon that i imume to like everything... Even tried cheating and that didn't work.
