September 16, 200421 yr Well guys, some of you might know i am in college now, and further, am participating in Army ROTC. Well yesterday i volunteered to join the color guard for a football game this Friday. Long story short, I am very new, have only had one drill and ceremony session other than the color guard training and will be a rifleman in the guard this saturday. I will be in front of hundreds of ppl trying desperately not to screw up my drill and to actually be able stay in step and not fall over when doing left/right faces. Wish me luck guys, Im not the sharpest tool in the shed and I only have one practice before the game to get it right.
September 16, 200421 yr COOL! Another person in ROTC beisdes me.. though you are army:( ewwy. GL and i love drilling. its very natural to me.-G
September 17, 200421 yr rifleman is the easiest job. i can tell u know just keep gong over the commands in ur head. starting with seat colors then forward march then marktime march, right wheel march, color gaurd hault, followed by present arms, (the national athem plays.) order arms, right wheel again, forward march, then marktime march, color garud hault, then unseat colors, order arms, and then ur dismissed. its not that hard unless u have to command it i know i was the commander for high school jrotc and after the first time u get better.
September 17, 200421 yr just listen up and follow commands. really isnt that hard. and rifleman is the BEST job. specailly right rifle. they dont have to wait or anything.-G
