See that seems to be it! Xfire and CD are not compatible check out the link I provided above another guy said his worked after turning off Xfire I am going to try this for myself and see if it might have something to do with.

*Sure enough works just fine with Xfire off, I think one of the TAC members said he had a way to fix it but I am not sure, waiting on his reply.

well.... both CD and xfire screwed me over... here is what happened. i started my comp the first time... with xfire and cd. i get the msg. then i take off cd and xfire... and uninstalled cd, deleted, rebooted, and reinstalled. i also started xfire ( so after i uninstalled and did all that bull i had both running) and it worked. then later i booted up and got the same msg. so i did it again... fixed it... and it happened again today.. so i did that with CD and forgot to start xfire. it still ran... so i played. then i realized i had xfire off, so i minimized FA and turned it on. clicked over to FA and the msg popped up. i thought i found the problem (even though it worked with xfire b4 when i uninstalled CD and turned both on). so i restarted and just turned on CD and FA. i got this msg again... er. so i did that uninstall agian.. ran CD (no xifre) and it worked. i know this does not solve anything. but just messing with what i said has worked everytime so far. so just mess with what i did. ne ?'s on what i did just PM me.-G

My brother Kaos has the same FA setup I do just about, but he has an nvidia card while I have an ATI do all you have ATI cards? Tomorrow I am going to see if while running both xfire and CD if he gets the same error.
its not that... the people gettin the problem have ATI yet i have NVIDIA.... so that deals that out-G
i bet its mostly CD and not so much xfirebec i dont use xfire and i have had this happen to me in the past
test of new advatar.and cool, ima try this soon enough-G
I haven't had this problem happen to me but the problem I sometimes get is when I start up C-D then Steam and start FA I get an Error saying C-D has failed to load. Click ok then I crash to desktop and have to start all over again. I even tried starting steam first then C-D then FA and sometimes I get that error as well. Very annoying when it happens especially when it does it 2 times in a row, my computer locks up and I have to restart. :D
All you had too do is turn off xfire then restart FA thats it!!!!!!!
Steal is right. Its a xfire problem. Simply follow the link he provided and the problem is no more and you can still play FA and run xfire.
what you do (if you didnt see in that link) is go to tools>options>display in xfire and turn off show chat messeges in game, it seems something detects this as a cheat, when xfire and firearms interact so disable that and see if it works, this is a new feature and in future releases they are supposed to fix it
