March 9, 200323 yr do the entire norton anitvirus scanthan do all the norten system worksthan do a defragif you run a p4 download wcpuid and make sure your procesor is running at the right speed (p4's underclock themsevles if they overheat) if thats the case check your thermal compuond

March 18, 200323 yr Bad news that mate, I've had problems like that before and it turned out to be a faulty H/D. When I changed it and did a clean install, everything was fine - sounds like a bottle of you're favourite tipple and a spare 3 or 4 hours. I know it's a ball ache formatting, but it does need doing every 6 months or so.Good Luck,HUGH JASS
