I got mine unlocked at 6am this morning

and now, I'm near the end of the airboat part

all I have to say is that this is THE best game I have ever played. Period.

Having played Halo 2 also, I can safely say that it doesn't even hold a candle to this game. It's so god damned immersive! You feel like you're actully there, in City17. Everything in the game makes sense, everything is where it should be. There's no strangely placed objects or anything silly like that.

At the moment I currently hate HL2 with a burning passion. Damn thing broke steam, I can't even log on to play FA. Not buying HL2 until I get a bigger harddrive anyway, 30gb just isn't big enough for me.Besides, I might wait until the new Firearms-ish mod for HL2 comes out to buy that, would rather not have to play CS:S. Don't care how much better than CS it is, its still Counterstrike... But, if they removed/nerfed the AWP and you respawn immediately after death, I might give it a try, otherwise, hell no, lol.All I can say is: Long Live Firearms!

I got past the airboat yesterday. Ive got the gravity gun which is awesome and im in ravenhold or whatever. but i cant log on and plus im at work so i cant play for another 7 1/2 hours :DMr

you probably can't log on because people are swamping the steam serversI havn't unlogged from steam for 3 days :DI'm in the coast area now, the antlions are VERY annoying

OMG, I just ADORE this game :DThe whole "Mankind has been subverted by a superior race" theme is awesome! The little camera things floating around taking pictures of me doing nothing but my own business just creeped me out. I kept looking over my shoulder. I wanted to say "Would you stop following me around DAMMIT?!" LOLWell worth the buy. They have truly outdone themselves.

this game is awesome, just a note for some new people, don't hit the flammable, highly explosvie barrels with your crowbar :Dat times like these i wish my computer was better but it still looks amaing 8)although i played HL1 source for a little and it was exactly the same :?

I have no intention of playing Half Life, the same goes for Half Life 2. Shooting aliens is not my idea of a good time, and i am not paying £35 on a game so that i will never play it.

I bought HL in 2002, just to play FA. I will buy HL2 in a while, when mods come out that I want to play, and when the price drops. So yes, most people will eventually buy it, but not everyone will right away.

HL2 only has 2 vehicles in it so far:1. The boat2. The jeepThere obviously will be mods with vehicles in it in the future.Will make some pretty good racing games

HL2 SURPASSES my exectations! I have only played for about an hour (me and my bro were switching off every load, lol) And then the reincarnation of the devil (my mom) kicked us off because my bro has to study for a test! :evil: But my God, everything looks gorgeous! So realistic! The ragdoll effects are freakin' awesome! I just fooled around for the first half hour, picking up stuff and having fun manipulating the environment! I wanna play some more SOOOO bad! At least I have the HL2 shirt, it is so big it is a good nightshirt for me! Anyways, the rest of you have fun playing HL2 while I am not allowed! :evil: BeccaI LOOOOVVVEEEE HL2!!!!

not with the part I would never buy it (please check it). I like playing FA but I didn't play any other mod and HL itself. I 'prepared' to play CS with my friend but we never succeded to find friendly server (read: that we both could see it and join it).

 

I like FPS but not as much as TBS, so if I wouldn't play FPS in the future it wouldn't mean the end of the world to me.

Side note: I love Duke Nukem, but not because of 'oh-God-I-shoot-the-aliens!' part but because of the humour of this game.

 

No offense meant, but I'm sure I won't be playing HL2 soon. Ditto for Wolfenstein, Doom, Quake etc. etc.

I am sure that you are aware that <TAC> is a large, well known Firearms clan. Firearms was <TAC>'s first love but since then they have expanded into other games and mods.

 

As far as i know <TAC> is till very much apart of the FA community, that is why i am here.

I LOVE THIS! So far I have gotten through Ravenholm (VERY SCARY! EEEK!). I about to go down Highway 17 (yay for ant lions!)
