November 18, 200421 yr Just ordered my new computer, thats the case I'm getting, but I'm also getting the fan controller not advertised at newegg, but is on the case makers site. I'll post my "wish list" link later, and you can have a look at my new rig, although, it's not nearly that cheap.. TFD

November 18, 200421 yr Thats just plain ugly. Your opinion..... Draws a lot of power too probably. No.... TFD
November 18, 200421 yr That's pretty nice TFD. Ripper, be quiet. The only thing I'd look into TFD, is maybe not buying an Aopen video card. See what other brands there are for the 5900XT, like this one http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-127-119&depa=1 Nice choice with the mobo, although I couldn't find which companies RAM they supported. If you can, check and see which companies of RAM is recommended for that mobo.
November 19, 200421 yr As I mentioned, this vid card is only temporary, gonna wait until the new releases come this spring, and then go all out. AOpen does a pretty descent video card, and it should do fine with this setup for whats available now. DFI is recommended as one of the better boards to use for overclocking AMD 64 processors, and as a gaming platform. Pretty sure, Crusial, Mushkin would be the best choices on ram for these. As for R1Pp3r comment, my post was related to the topic at hand, and I thought, since we chose the same case, he may like to see what I'm doing. Not trying to hijack his thread, and since I build computers on the side, and at work, I'd be glad to help him if he needs or wants. So, since your post was so darn helpful, why don't follow your own advise....TFD
November 19, 200421 yr Meh.Kinda felt like talking derrty on the forums..nothing else to do at the moment ;)sorry heh
November 19, 200421 yr I'll let you know, but I would assume so. Has a fan in the front, on the glass side, optionally on the back and other side, and those front openings are open screens to the inside so alot of air can move thru it. ;)TFD
November 19, 200421 yr would use my 5200 as a temp card. 5200 is worst card ever made SamGEn & I both had it adn I personally hated it.
November 19, 200421 yr Yeap that video will bottleneck your performance with your new system when gaming and you will not seem much difference until it's upgraded.
November 19, 200421 yr Author I have a 5200 and it works fine, in fact it ran Far Cry ok.But like I said it would only be for a couple of weeks. On a side note, what do you guys think of refurbished monitors?I saw a black 19" monitor in tigerdirect for $50 They work like new right?
November 20, 200421 yr loose the case. There are ALOT of places you can order quality pre-mod cases. xoxide.com is a good one. i would recomend http://www.voyeurmods.com/ and not recomend frozencpu.com. Frozen CPU over prices everything. My recomendation is voyuermods modded Wave Master case
November 20, 200421 yr Pun, I have the 5250, it actually runs great with hl2. get wicked fps infact.but u can't put all the settings on max, or else it gets a lil jumpy (aa and ap on 6x and 16x or w/)
