Firearms Freezing Problem

Featured Replies

This prob just started occuring yesterday. After bout 30 minutes of playin FA, my game just freezes, and the same sounds just keep playing over and over again.I press Alt-Ctrl-Del, click back on the game, and it works perfectly fine. Then 4 minutes later, it happens again, so i go back to the desktop, and then back to the game, it works fine. Then it happens AGAIN and this time when I alt-ctrl-del, the screen goes black and it's like the Monitor just switches to Sleep or smtSo I restart the comp, and when I get to the desktop, my internet doesn't show up, I can't even find it in the Network Connections folder, where it should be.It says that there's New Hardware found, an "Ethernet Controller"Like wtf? I don't even know what an Ethernet Controller is.. what's happening?Anyways, so I have to restart again just to get the internet back up, but I dont get the Ethernet Controller thing this time.So now today, I just opened FA, played for bout 2 minutes, then the screen freezes, and the first time I go to the desktop, it goes black and everything behaves exactly as it did before. What has this Vid card done?o_0
I have a similar problem but it occurs when I fierst start to enter a server and you see the progress bar. It gets to aobut 7/8 done then starts that sound loop. Annoying especially when you get Steam kicked then you try to get back in and it wont go in adn then you sit and wait for a spot to open. Ughhh. Oh ya, I have nothing else running when I play. This happens at least once a day and a lot when I leave Steam running but am not playing then go to connect to server and get the freeze. I jsut hit esc and it goes back to menu and I have to exit Steam totally then restart.
mine freezes whenever someone on MSN signs on, but all i do is press alt tab and reclick FA. works fine.
I'm pretty sure this is just a common FA thing. I was told it was a compatibility isssue between steam and Firearms.
i have pretty much the same thing, but i doesn't happen every time.but when it does it'll happen about 30 mins of playing, plus i get all sort of menu problem(where it'll make you re-select your config every death)and if it isn't that i'm getting booted to desktop, disconnection errors.ahhh behold the power of steam mixed with f-a
