This is JIGA and I speak for Wookie and Rawks as well. Many of you know us from your server and it seems that many of you dislike us.

 

I have heard from a few of your members, names not to be mentioned, that there are accusations and assumptions that we have been hacking, using cheats to get an advantage in the game. I can say for myself, Wookie, and Rawks that this is 100% incorrect. We do not cheat or use 3rd party programs to gain an advantage in CS : Source in any shape or form.

 

Why is it that a good player is deemed a cheater? Can the next guy not be better than the other?

 

I'm just saddened by this. I did speak with one <TAC> member on the server today but I'm sure there is still doubt in his mind that we are legit.

 

Myself, Wookie and Rawks are 3 real life friends. We have known each other for at least 10 years now. I myself am 25, Wookie 27, and Rawks the baby at 23 We come to have fun on your server, we come to play a legit game. But the fun stops when the accusations start flying out the window.

 

I see that you guys may be joining the Cyber Athlete Amateur League. Well, us 3 over the summer attended the Cyber Athlete Professional League http://www.thecpl.com/ Now, I'm not trying to boast or be a bighead, were not the best players. The skill level we saw at the CPL was far beyond ours. You guys would be amazed, as I was.

 

The CPL event is a LAN event and you are playing for BIG money, in the $70,000 range. People do not hack/cheat at these events, these are skilled players. They use house computers, not their own. When we attended, since it was our first time, we went to the BYOC (bring your own computer) event part of it, and I tell you, I had a very hard time keeping a 1:1 or even 2:1 ratio against these guys.

 

All I'm trying to say is, there is always someone better, and that someone better does not always mean they cheat at the game. I've been PC gaming for 8 years now and console gaming pretty much since I was 9 years old. I'm not always doing good on the server, there are some maps that I struggle with and some that I am very good at. It's all about learning this game and having the top of the line hardware to maximize your gaming experience.

 

What do I use to gain my advantage?

 

Asus K8N w/800mhz FSB

 

AMD 64 2800 @ 2.2ghz

 

1gig PC3200 Crucial RAM

 

120gig SATA Samsung HD

 

Saphire Radeon X800XT PE

 

Creative Audigy 2 Gamer Edition sound card

 

Logitech MX510 mouse

 

I'm married, one kid on the way, I paid my dues so I went all out my this years PC and got what I wanted.

 

As far as tactics go that I use.

 

Know the map

 

Learn where camping spots are, learn where the rushes come from. Hell, sometimes I start up a lan game just to find new stuff on maps. Look around it, get the feel for it, etc.

 

CHECK THOSE CORNERS, EVERY CORNER!

 

Know your weapons

 

Burst fire is your friend.

 

Aim for the head, ALWAYS

 

Q is the quick switch from primary to secondary, get fast with the key.

 

SMG's suck period

 

Sounds and situational awareness

 

Having a great soundcard and a good set of headphones makes a world of difference. You can distinguish sounds from left and right and this is an excellent tactic, just listen to the game world.

 

Also, check that radar! If you hear footsteps and don't see any dots on your radar you know it is the enemy coming, start firing early around that corner and aim at head level. I always keep my cursor right at head level.

 

Guys, it's all about knowing the game, thats all theres to it.

 

Me, Rawks, and Wookie get together once a month for some lan gaming. Just the 3 of us. We hook up all our PC's to a router and router to the cable modem and go have some fun.

 

That's all were here for, clean, legit fun on this great server.

btw, Sound does own, its almost like a wallhack if you pay attention.

you guys are good and never doubted your ligintess, sounds are extremly good for learning where your opponent is, especialy in 1v1 battles

Very good soundcard, that is what I am running. Mine is just the gamer editio that came with a bunch of free games.

We even had better on the server not too long ago.

 

People get mad and frustrated when they get owned. Then they accuse of hacking.

What do soundcards?

I think I might have a built in one, but I have some good headphones (Senheisser PC150) and I don't know if I should get a soundcard.

 

anyway, those are some good teams. I'm in an awesome clan for CS 1.6. Lots of members in it are REALLY good. Some of them and even myself get accused for hacking a lot. It's pretty fun, it's almost like an honor. You're so good that other people think it's an almost unhuman attribute that makes you that good

Hi Jiga,

I want to commend you for your post. Its gets very tiring to be criticized as a hacker when you are simply playing your best. TAC has had numerous incidents where accused individuals blew up (understandable while not acceptable). I have seen all of you play well and am encouraged to learn from it (thank you for the tips). Your response has been very mature and I think we all at TAC appreciate that quality.

btw i am running a audigy gamer, pretty soon with zalman surround sound headphones. so not only will i be able to hear left and right, but also BEHIND!!!

Actualy i havent seen any hackers around in CSS. What suprises me, becouse even in FA they cheated (and that is one small community) Are there any Cheating Bans on the server?

Rofl if i say you hac, its because i am joking, lol... you ever notice i only think you hack when your on the OTHER team frim me? hehe...

 

We ban cheaters, i banned 2 cheaters the other day (think they are still in the top5 check the stats of them... 350kills, of which 170 are headshots and like 50 dfeaths a peice,... watching them 180degree turns with headshots, the one who is 1st right now went 43-1 with the AK 47, Sniper range hearshots.... sort of thing... took me 5 minutes to watch him flicking between targets)

I second that... and if i could i would kick your arse with that AWP you use, hehe but i cant get near you... so i am gonna whine about it till you kick my arse with another gun, then ill whine about that =P

 

I LOVE taking out someone from across the map with the shotty and watching them bitch and whine about it LOL its so much fun, PLay, stay inside the rules and youll be fine, enjoy the server.

 

you do better than me, even when i have my hacks on... i dont need to shoot early, lol i hit the shoot button as i see them thru the wall and it auto selects the head hit box =P

Ok, now Wookie is banned?....

he was warned prior occasions not to use a pornographic spray,

 

he used it again, i beleive donut banned him for 60 minutes.

Crackerboy came in and is telling us, "The only way you can win TAC is by banning wookie!". What a weird thing to say.

 

EDIT: I believe Crackerboy is now banned for profane language and interfering with gameplay.

Yep. Banned for 60 minutes for a pornographic spray and constant bad language.

It takes ALOT for peaple to get banned for hacking bro. Usually when one of us starts to suspect, all the admins in the ventrilo channel start to watch the suspect from first person and look for suspicious behavior. This usually goes on over the course of a half hour. We don't ban peaple lightly for cheating... we look for enough behaviors that convince us BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT that the person is hacking.

 

Yes, sound is your friend. I used to go by the handle "DeadSilence" in the CS:Beta days because I used stealth to my advantage. My soundcard isn't all that hot (Sound Blaster Live! *Snickers*) and I STILL catch alot of peaple around corners because I play with headphones.... and sometimes get hit with a "wallhacker!" accusation.

 

At anyrate.... I think it's been established that the ban wasn't for suspected hacking, but for bad behavior. We have a low tolarance for the kind of crap you see on the typical CS server. I myself have a pretty low tolerance for it.. We'll warn you first, as is our policy (the exception being racism... I insta kick for that). You fail to heed our warnings, we will take action.

 

Keep your replys civil, like you have today, and you will get not only respect, but your problem will be dealt with fairly.

 

I hope this clears up any confusion you may of had. I hope that when you all return we can put this aside and continue to play in the spirit of friendly competition and sportsmanship.
