DocHolliday's Tombstone - I need someone to Admin!!!

Featured Replies

i will be gone starting wednesday, dec 29 thru about jan 10. if anyone would like to run this server please contact me thru MSN chat budkrake@hotmail.com or email me krake@charter.net

what i need you to do is run a virtual network program to access the server every so often to make sure it is running the HLDS.

i will give you all the passwords and you can have admin rights to the server (rcon password).

thank you!

Not so sure about the virtual network program thing. Most people use Remote Desktop this doesnt require the admin to have a program.

What server do you run?

Also if you want to give rcon it can all be done from HLSW....no need for anyone to run any programs that could leave them open to hackers :p

We have several people that are good with security type stuff that would be willing to help you. Just PM me the details of exactly what your want done.

Well, I use VNC to get into my computer. I just want someone to get in and start the server after it crashes, unless someone knows a way to restart it automatically??!!!

i use a Dell server with windows XP. i use the dedicated server in steam. it crashes about every 3 hours.

When I used to run a server I used ServerDoc. It would automatically bring the server back online after a crash.

FireDaemon I think is the name of a good program that will do just that. We use it to restart our server after a crash. Then you can just tell your server to restart or even exit via rcon and it will pop back up.

What is the name of your server and what kind of game server is it?
