ok i'm gonna buy this 512mb stick o' Ram tonight but im not quite sure about it. . .

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-141-173&depa=1

does it look good or is it a piece of crap :?

i'm looking to get a good boost in performance because I think my RAM now is currently not the greatest. if you think I should buy something else, say so quickly, i'll post my system specs

512mb ddr ram pc2100

p4 2.53 ghz processor

ati radeon 9600xt

75gb hard drive (stock hp  )

i guess thats about all you need to know, i don't think mentioning this is necessary but i have a 19" lcd monitor and onboard video

ohh, also, my motherboard only supports 1gb of ram so this will fill up its capacity, but i have two open slots. Does it make more sense to fill up my two empty slots or just have one leftover (i chose this ram because it was cheaper than 2x256)

sorry killer, perfect time for the site to go down

i'll post the stuff when the site is back up, but im gonna buy it no matter what probably

www.newegg.com is the store i go to

make sure you motherboard supports the type ur trying to get. for instance supplying us with the motherboard type etc. we can help you further. because if you get something faster than 2100 and use it with that 2100 stick the faster stuff will only run as fast as the slower stuff.

so if you want the 1 gb, try to get something along the same lines as ur current.

google - cpuz it will help you with information about your computer.
