Posted January 17, 200520 yr http://www.thearmory.cc/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=470 On the SteamPowered Forums a recent thread grabbed my attention and I thought of writing about it to make more people aware of the possibility's of fraud and deception, where this mislead could lead to you losing your STEAM-account. We already read about the fake emails circulating claiming to come from VALVe with database-errors all over the place which lead to the need of every STEAM-account user to provide both username and password. Now, even through Messengers like MSN it is tried to get people to give our their information and passwords. I think it is necessary to alert everyone, to be aware and not fell for these traps. Never give out any information such as passwords, and even be careful with emailaddresses and other ways of contact information and such.
January 17, 200520 yr Hackers have big imaginations: they cannot what invent to have any which datas & to create somethings for hacking... Egidio.
January 17, 200520 yr why would you ever give out your pw to someone online... You would be suprised. Back in my AA days people use to always try to scam high honor accounts all the time. I use to have a 60 honor account, long lost..., and some moron tried to PM me over yahoo saying he was an AA account administrator. Long story short, when he asked me to retreive my info from my system folder.... I gave him quite a creative username and password. Prolly get me an insta ban if I said it on here :o

January 19, 200520 yr well, anyone who is stupid enough to believe those messages deserves to loose their account(s). I've seen a few of the messages goin around and even gotten a few messages through aim and messenger. All they got was a fake account. (nothing real was used in the making of those accounts (something like abrts@tangebeats.com, 54g2fc) )
