You guys can ignore this, it just feels good to get this off my chest. Kind of a positive way to exhaust negative emotion.

 

 

first off, Ill cut to the chase: 99% of all CSS players are uncouth, childish, moronic, petty, insecure, bastardly, and generally suck at living. Every day I get on the TAC server (I dont touch pubs and other servers), and people are generally, well, jackasses. There are many language violations and people are just basically mean. What I am about to say probably crosses the line into pathetic territory, but it goes to show how heartless people are: I cant bring myself to use the mic anymore because several times people have commented rather harshly on my unfortunately high pitched voice Gee, Im sorry Im not Isaac Hayes, but you didnt have to go ahead and piss on the smoking ruins of my self-esteem, you could have just muted me or told I was being annoying in some unspecified way. Obviously Im not asking for any sort of punishment, as that would be immature and impossible, but as I said it just feels good to lash out verbally at a problem I have absolutely no power over. Im not going to stop playing CSS because its fun and TAC members and friends are great people. Further, it would be weak to just lie down, admit defeat to a bunch of pissant 12yo's / sexually frustrated teenagers, and give up something i love. Wow, I feel better already. Ppl can choose to read this or not, I dont care. I just needed to post this for my own edification, as a matter fact, mods can lock this thread if they want, its served its purpose

Wait for VAC to be released, CSS will become relatively more cheat/smaktard/immature free.

Its a known fact...the CS community sucks, always had sucked, and, if it continues like this, will always suck.

i agree, which is why the admins have the @ban command. its simple there are no shortage of players to play on our server, so whhy not let the 1% play on it, and if seen fit, ban the offending 99% (when the time arises) that should clear the problem up, if thre are no admins i just snapshot the console and tell an admin the names of the offending and they remotly ban them (thanks jasun)

I can relate to that :wink: I've done a lot of venting in past :roll: Usually checking next day and removing or editing out poorly chosen words :roll: You did good wording. I have noticed more undesirables in cs then in tac fa too. I guess cause most of those cs servers are not taking or don't have the time to try and control who uses them and what they do there. "Time is money" Makes one appreciative of how much better TAC has been in comparison, eh ? :wink: We must consider time of day as to language objections since 4 am no youngsters anyway. And "squeeky wheel gets the grease", but too much sqweeking it gets discarded and disregarded :wink: Also how bad the possible rule breaking is, like minor or major, how often, etc. As I try to remind myself from time to time when frustration sets in :wink:

i can so feel with you. I used to play on other servers to, but the people playing there are so unmature and not fun to play with. You get flamed for everything you do. There is always somebody complaining,.... That is what i love about the TAC server, its like an island of decency in an ocean of smaktards. Ofcourse not everybody is bad. But sometimes it gets on my nerves...

The only thing is the lang. filter, sometimes i get a warning and i have no idea what i said wrong... But i gues that is some needed "evil" to keep things under control.(although some people find it fun to mess with the filter)

its pretty damn bad when I have to artificially lower my voice on voice com to avoid being ripped to shreds verbally on OUR server >: |

I agree with you on the most part, but I do also believe you're generalizing way to much

I play loads of CS 1.6 and CSS all over the place, and besides the common idiot (usually 1 every second server) I don't find much to rant about.

A lot of the guys that are better at Counter-Strike are more mature and calm than the idiots who populate the lower part of the scoreboard.

Sure, there are the ones out there that are racist, scream, and generally be immature. I'm not implying that I've never met one in CS nor CS doesn't have any, I've had plenty of experiances with these kinds of people, but there's a lot less of them than you imply.

I would say it's more like 30%

if it gets too noisy in ventrillo then go to another channel and just put in your comment, that it is a tactical channel only.. sometimes we have to do that when saggi starts practicing his screams :wink:
