well, it is too hard to compare sensitivity like that. depending on the mouse and on your windows sensitivity, it could be faster or slower than yours even if yours is 20 and theirs is only 4 in game.

after i got my mx 510 and installed the software for it, i went from 17 in game to 4 in game and it is about the same speed.

Exactly, I bought the same mouse because I thought if Cow uses it must be good. Anyways, mine is the same sensitivity too by coincidence.

After playing for about an hour or two, I actually think the lower sensitivity is helping. I've got it at about 3.5 at the moment, and with more practice, I think I'll play a lot better. Definitely easier to shoot accurately at distances.

High windows sensitivity and low in game sens makes in game have a higher res and seems to boost minute movements for high accuracy in game, and keeps your mouse responsive as well. Windows seems to have a mouse acceleration hard coded in which will always be present to a small degree no matter what you set your drivers and settings for.

Windows sensitivity = 90%

Hl1 & Hl2 mouse sens = 1.6 for range shooting, but I usually keep it at 2.3

anywhere betwwen 10-12 for me. I used to play at 3, but decided to try it higher on CSS one day. I loved it. I cant even play a game at 3 sensitivity anymore.
