I played some time yesterday. It was fun. The Models look cool.

i once tried to transport models from 2.6 to 2.5, the player models that is. Strange things happen when you do that. Heads get stuck in bodyparts a head should never be...

I'm in ,It means staying up as it will be 1am here but the wife is very understanding as she knows how much I miss 2.5 and will be on standby with the beers and pizza

Okay, i just got informed by -=[DW]=-SirCampalot that you guys intend to play on our Oldskool server on friday night.

As always you all are very welcome to do so!!

There is however a small tweak which you'll have to perform before you can find the server. After the instalation of Fireams 2.5, go to that directory under steam and find the Liblist.gam file. Open it with notepad (or any oder plain text editor) and edit the following line: game "Firearms" to game "Firearms 2.5" and save the file again.

This not only enables you to have 2.5 sitting in steam next to 2.9 (if you renamed your fa2.9 folder to firearms29 BEFORE you installed 2.5 that is, else it'll be overwritten), it will also enable you to find the server, as i edited the same line in the servers liblist as well.

Last but not least, i don't have a clue to how many people this mail was sent....

but the server is currently only using 30% of it's resources.. with 2 FA servers and a DC-F server running. Now i will be away on Friday, and so will -=[DW]=-Painboy who administrates the server with me, but i'll increase the number of slots (if Mac would be kind enough to tell me how many ppl got his invitation that would be a great help) to any conveiniant amount so you guys can have a good time.

Adminmod is running, so the "rockthevote" command should be able to satisfy your map needs. Several -=[DW]=- members have admin power but i'll consider adding some members of the TAC counsel as well (i talk this over with Sir Campalot) so you guys can have a fun night.

I just wished my father in law wouldn't celebrate his birthday on fridaynight ... sigh!

I'll probably be playing 2.5 for most of Friday anyway. Since it seems like there are a lot of people interested in this, we could probably just designate Friday to play 2.5 instead of just at one specific time. Then every Friday after that. And then we'll replace all the servers with 2.5 bwahahahahahaha :twisted: , or maybe not :roll: .

We also have a TAC FA server upa and running to help with the suspected demand.
