teamplay

Featured Replies

I was reading a post about cargohold map and the term teamplay kept coming up. In this game most people are concerned with just killing in the pub server anyway. I can't speak for FAL matches but I assume teamplay is a big part of that if not all of it. Pubs are for fun though and you can't make people do what you wanna do. I have experienced team play but not too often. It mostly occurs with Doc, cow, Jairyn, TBT teamates and a few others. I really enjoy it when a team play moment comes together but too few and far between. I realize I am out to kill lots too and screw the teamplay sometime. Just some thoughts to ponder.
talk about teamplay, your should a been there with repo, statie, jasun, carl, myself, and others on Joint Operations and Desert Combat.... team play owns all esp in a pub
Yea, teamplay is scarce on pubs, unless you have a good crew you know well. That's why matches are so fun.

pubs are for improving gun skills, and maps, scrims are for quardination and teamwork

i think cargo hld is a great map for teamplay, infact i wish more people would use there mic more as tool then just blurting out '' AWW man'' "" WTF" blah blah blah...........for me itt makes it incredibly fun to tell where ur location is for a medic, telling somebody a plan.... not only does it help but it helps get you to know the person better. like the next time u see him join the server your like '' hey guy'' thats what TAC is about 8) :D

it can be 13/13 and if theres lack of communication it just gets boring for me... :?

except on small maps such as iwojima and such

There's very little teamplay which is a shame as the times I've been involved it usually works well and the team dominate the game, which makes it fun (if you are on the winning team of course)

I love it when a plan comes together

None of you were there then I guess the time a while back when me and Jairyn organized the defense of the warehouse on Bocage (FA). It was aaaawwwweeeessoooooommmmmeee! They couldn't get it, we came back from a 50 reinforcement difference in the other team's favor.

They never could get the gun and the time ended up runnin out. Ownage teamwork. I enjoyed commanding the team too.

But yes, it is rare.

The problems are:

No unquestionable leaders. Some of the guys don't like each other so, for example: [TK421] BountyHunter won't listen to [TBT] Kol.Klink or vice versa (which is bad example cause I <3 to play with Klink, but you get the point, I suppose :D ). It's much more evident when two of the 'leaders' of the same clan clashed with each other (at some point) and clan broke apart. They won't cooperate in future, they won't listen to each other.

Some of the guys have some authority issues. They just think they are the best no matter what. They won't take orders from the God himself.

It's difficult (I admit) to listen to [No- CD] Freshmeat even if it's disguised Punisher :p . I don't remember his steam ID so I don't know it's him.

Some of the guys are, let's face it, noobies who have fun with switching weapons and choosing different skills and have no idea where to go, where to camp (yuck!) etc. etc. They are useless from the 'teamplay-point-of-view'. They are cannon fodders and reinfs-wasters. :D

When I see my team is struggling I usually say: "let's coordinate our battle plans", but no one is bothering.

I agree (partially) with Disposable Hero. Pubs are for improving gun skills. That means everyone wants to frag as much as possible. I don't know if it's how it should be, but it's reality.

I don't think the teamplay is all-saviour. Sometimes (in pubs) it's rather stacked team vs. the team of freshies + 2-3 good players. The last can't win. The first one wins because they are just good, not they play team-oriented game.
