February 10, 200520 yr I updated yesterday after the they come out. They were slated to come out monday but didnt for some reason.
February 10, 200520 yr I hope this doesnt mean im gonna have to install SP2. If so....- F*** Windows Update.
February 10, 200520 yr Mac ME SUXORS  Yep, probably the BIGGEST mistake Microsoft has made to date... TFD
February 10, 200520 yr Thats because they dropped support for it almost immediately after they released it... TFD
February 10, 200520 yr XP has never ever ever given me problems. I have had since the week it came out and by golly I love it. Yes a lot of patches, but they were all for things that never effected me.
February 10, 200520 yr Yep, same here DEFCON, I would never go back. Was a slow, reluctant convert from Win98 (eek), but glad I finally did it.. TFD
February 11, 200520 yr ya. i love 98. took me a while to switch too. but i never have had a problem with it. :/ -G
February 11, 200520 yr the problem is that it doesnt depend on the OS, it depends on whether or not microsoft has control of your OS. I was at a lan and the only computer not working had a legal copy of XP!! (plus, choose the updates you want; dont just auto install. You really dont want some of the updates they have)
February 11, 200520 yr I run XP Pro w/SP2 and run and install all the critical updates. I've only experienced one problem with an updated from them and it was while I was running Win98 I think, it caused a slow down in the system, but was fixable by uninstalling it. THey then shortly moved it off the critical update list, and came out with another one... I very rarely have any problem with the current OS, and the few times I do, its usually user generated problems. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Microsoft follower, but I have been pretty pleased with XP Pro from start to current. TFD
February 12, 200520 yr I like Win ME b/c of this crap. It's the truth too. Yeah, I sure hate it when security patches are released. How dare they make my system more secure!
