March 10, 200521 yr Ok, so I go to a nerd school: Rose-Hulman Inst. of Tech. Number One undergrad engineering school in the country 6 years running, also home of the most hopeless nerds and geeks, especially me. Check out what me and my friends do in our spare time, since we are frat punks and dont feel like getting drunk: http://www.rose-hulman.edu/~neesea/ This is my friends website, check out the photos, and go to the projects page. UPDATE: The alpha project blurb has not been updated to reflect the fac that we added smaller capacitors and a new inductor to smooth out the waveform and increase frequency range. The device is now truly ultrasonic, and while ineffective against some people, it causes instant screaming pain in others! Also, to be fair, my friends do 90% of the work, me and a couple others provide funding, good company, and in my case a desire to know exactly what they are doing and how. I think I have learned more from these guys than I have in physics class.
March 10, 200521 yr wow, that looks like the best college ever. If only there was a Tech college somewhere around here...ah...one could only dream
March 11, 200521 yr Author so do i sense another future screw up who my tax dollars will be paying for his cell when he is being held for DUI or some other stupid crime.
March 12, 200521 yr so do i sense another future screw up who my tax dollars will be paying for his cell when he is being held for DUI or some other stupid crime. ahaha jimmyhttp://www.woodturnedcreations.com/Dud3%21/pix/misc/owned-wall%20tape.jpg
March 15, 200521 yr Author another thread, killed in the prime of its life, sigh. If anyone cares, this guy updated his website to include a plasma, yes PLASMA, generator we built.
March 15, 200521 yr college = booze babes bongs ;O I care defcon and this will be taken care of....BTW good post. Keep the pics coming. If anyone else has any college pics please feel free to post them. Jimmy that leave you out...BTW enjoy your 5 day forum ban. Do not promote drug use here. Next time it will be a permaban. Some of you younger guys are getting out of hand with hijacking threads. Please try to stay on topic with things.
March 17, 200521 yr Those projects are really tight! lol wish I was smart enough to build something like that.
March 17, 200521 yr Tommorw if i get some time. i will show u some pics of my hydrogen generator. Basically it takes 12v dc and turns it into 1000v+. It uses like no current. something like 500mA on the 12v side. It uses a 555 timer with a bucnh of mosfets to do this. i get pics up tommorw so that i can show u my leet soldering skillz.
March 17, 200521 yr Author cool! we experimented with electrolysis using beta and gamma devices, but even after an hour or so all we got was a funny sounding pop and a tiny flame when we ignited the H and O2. We discovered that the magnesium heaters in MRE's generate a heck of a lot more H2 in shorter amount of time. However, I believe should the need to create more hydrogen ever arise again (the original purpose was to create a bomb with which to blow up my sucktacular calc textbook, I have since decided to shoot it repeatedly with a Remmy 870, stay tuned for details), I think delta device should more than suffice for creating ginormous amounts of hydrogen. I think my friend would love to see how you created your device, please post when you get a chance.
March 17, 200521 yr I'm still awaiting the atomic railgun seriously, if you can make a plasma emitter, you should be able to make a device that shoots ball-bearings through walls
March 17, 200521 yr Author we have the technology, we can make him faster, stronger..... I myself have been pondering making a backpack mounted coil gun (aka gauss rifle), but as i previously stated, I aint the brains of this operations. The problem with coil guns is that they are only 2% effective, so the backpack would need a motorcycle battery and a number of HUGE capacitors. Luckly, such things are easily accquired.... Stay tuned, I wonder what epsilon project will be? Its almost Friday, and we usually do this stuff on fridays, so we shall see.
March 17, 200521 yr alright here it is. this is the semi completed version. i included schematics if u dont get what i did. http://prc.deltaverse.com/scem.jpg http://prc.deltaverse.com/h202gen.JPG
March 17, 200521 yr i still gotta put a few more capacitors and switches then build a box to put it in. Once i do that i have to build a tank with stainless steel plates which will be the electrodes. once its done it should use a very small amount of power to create large amounts of h2 and o2.
