March 20, 200521 yr anyone else get it? I bought it yesterday and just got to playing it now. The single player is pretty cool, more strategic than CoD. It adds the supression-and-flank manuevers of Full Scretum Warrior, although it does get repetitive. But what I'm currently hooked on is the multiplayer. You get a squad (either a firing squad...who have weapons designed more for suppressing enemies...or an attacking squad...who have better CCQ weapons) and command them around against the other people's squads. Max number of players is 4, which really sucks. But it makes sense. Each side (allies and axis) gets one person human to lead each squad (assault and firing squad). Maybe in later patchs they'll let more people into games for more squads. It gets hectic really fast. The enemy squads are trying to supress your guys while at the same time you're doing the same, and THEN the attacking squads of each team are trying to flank each other, which basically results in there being a big firefight in the middle, then smaller, closer fire fights along the sides. Like FA, it works on reinforcements. Each time you die you can select to jump into the body of one of your squadmates, or call in reinforcements, which respawns you and a totally new squad. The weapon sounds/models are awesome (except for the KAR rifle, it looks a lot bulkier than it should be). You really get the sense you're in a huge battle when the gunshots are going off around you. On most servers, the crosshair is disabled, which makes aiming from the hip only useful in CCQ. Fortunaly, they have a good (yet very shaky) ironsights, which get the long range job done (for rifles anyway). Anyway, anyone else got this game? We should play together soon. I definatly recommand this game to people who like WWII or strategic games. Even the hardcore FPS guy might get into this.
March 21, 200521 yr I didn't buy it ;p It's fun. Pretty much what he said but I would like to add on the graphics of this game are superb, and it runs well. Not to mention the UI and main menus are very well done (respect that, some menus dont know left from right) it's a very well, put-to-gether game, with an addictive element, nice looking graphics and a cool idea. Captures you right in and you don't want to stop playing!
