1- I want to make a bind for a phrase that I can use in game. For example, Arnie always types "Hasta La Vista Baby" with his bind. Can someone tell me how to make one?

2-When I watch someones demo on my pc do i see exactly what he has recorded or do I see my models and Xhairs etc?

3- when I install FA3.0 eventually whenever Steam gets around to getting it to us, will all my models, Xhairs etc. default. Should I save the folder and replace it with the new one or will it not be compatible?

Thanks in advance.

2- It shows your crosshairs and models and textures and all of the customizable stuff.

3- Crosshairs will be compatible. Models that gain nomen in 3.0 won't be compatible with their 3.0 counterparts because they don't have the nomen reload animations with them. I think you can still use the old models, but when you reload with nomen, you won't see that you're reloading.

I don't know much about binds though.

All the models that have changes will be overwritten for sure, I think it will just do a file check, verify everything that's there, and then overwrite whatever it needs to. At least that's what my software does.

I think I will install it separately from 2.9c anyway if that is possible, is it?

Thanks all for the help.

I did the bind for the saying but when I quit game it leaves too and I have to redo every game. Is that right?

1. bind F1 "say PAWNED!!"

like that.

should stay like that. it just saves it into your config file

I think you do it like we did with 2.5 earlier this yr ... in half-life folder is subfolder called firearms with all 2.9 fa ... also in half-life folder is folder named firearms25 ... both these show on steam game choice list ... so put all fa 3.0 stuff in additional folder called firearms30.

itll just be firearms not firearms30 steam just reads it as firearms... dont ask why

when 3.0 comes out and you wanna back up your crap. copy your folder, make a duplicate but name it OLD FA2.9 something like that, and jsut replace w/e you want

Cool. What should my bind say? I know Hogan wants "Can't Touch This" :peace:

But what would be a good one for TigerHawk?

You just got PAWNED by the queen of spam!

Save your Sprites folder.

Map folder

Menus (If you use custom configs)

your config.cfg too

You can save your whole 2.9 as described above.

2.9 will be compatable with 3.0 in this respect. Just copy and paste and you should be good to go.

If a map is different and it will not download. Just Alt Esc and delete it then rejoin the server to download it.

OMG! INSPIRATION! for tigerhawks bind it could be "You have just been dive-bombed by TigerHawk!" lol or something along those lines....AND I THOUGHT OF IT....NOT G! D:! he always steals my credit D:! :) (OR you have just been dive-spammed by the hawk that is a Tiger.) :) :)

Fear The Eye Of The Tiger!!!
