Option 4 on mine and the Little Red Barons PC.No crashes at all (so far)

I accidentally dled/installed the full version....I didnt delete 2.9 and still havent, my 3.0 works just fine :sorry:

I was thinking that too, where a fresh install is required. But I realised I crash the same 3 ways:

 

1. Steam's client 57

2. Teammate shoot other teammate and blood sprite crashes my game.

3. Random after a few hours of playing crash.

This actually started for me after I had firearms in steam.

 

OH NOES IM IM BADMUTHING STEAM I SUCKz0rs.(note le sarcasm)

 

This game just doesn't work well with steam. And I dont think taht will ever be fixed(especially now, the end of this mod's updates).

so i should just do a fresh install? I just redid everything, including dl 2.9 and then updating to 3.0 over top of it. Oh god, here i go again.

Did Fresh install without 3.0 but added 2.9: sprites, config.cfg, menus, and sounds.

 

Need to try fresh with defaults.

 

Playing on TAC crashed me every map at least twice.

 

Playing on PoP and Holiday's I did not crash once.

Was there a fresh install of 3.0 for the server? Maybe you need to do that for all of the addons as well.

ok im being pushed toward that TAC's server is a well....crashing one? i dont get it. anyway the only bad thing about my FA30 is that my m14 custom scope sprite wont work. :| it doesnt crash for me except with the exception of cl_57. gg? :sorry:

i installed on top of 2.9 but played with default everything for the first 2 days,and only now have put on crosshairs but eitherway i get booted to desktop every map or so and client 57'ed almost just as often.can't say i've had much lag(at least none more than normal)but my bullet reg. is terrible(of course some of that could be me missing )well that's about it,hope this helps :sorry:

Option 3: deleted the 2.9 folder and installed the full 3.0 version...

No crashes on server #2 while 4 hours and 2 times only on the server #1 after running the cd while playing 2 hours?

i installed 3.0 on top of 2.9 and it has NEVER crashed. everything is still default

I crashed many times, then did a complete refresh install, and have only crashed once in 4 hours of playing. Yes reinstalling did help a lot.

I crash at least two times every half hour, and it was a clean install as I haven't played FA in months.

 

I'm starting to get very annoyed as I'm finding I really enjoy this version despite a couple bugs.

We made new folder called firearms29 and copied all from 29's "firearms" folder to it. Then copied 3.0 over the original "firearms" (2.9) folder. Then copied config.cfg from 29 backup to new 3.0 "firearms" folder.

 

No probs after many hrs late last night > early this morning. :peace:

so theres no real pattern here, everyone is just having equal results(going by poll).

 

So what else cold be the problem?
