So, how many of you actually saw the first STAR WARS at the theatre? I was 13 at the time and saw it and have been a fan ever since of course.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!

I was in San Francisco on Vacation with my parents. My moms Parents lived there.

I saw it in surround sound in the converted opera house Lucas had made for the opening of the movie. I was in awe when the two ships rumbled across the screen in true surround sound on the largest screen I ever saw. We were big Star Trek fans so this was an awesome sight. I can still see it to this day. That was 1977 and I was 12 years old. Talk about timing. We were camping for 8 weeks across the country that summer and caught Star Wars in its opening week there. It was like WOW.

i wasn't born yet :lies: actualy i was -11... (1988-1977... ok good)

Lol, would have been cool to see.

i would give anything to wait in that line all dressed up! but i was first in line for the remixes hit theaters. and that was cool for me, seeing the firsts in theater. i was only, waht? 2 years off of the return of the jedi? 1982 it was released.

plus. friends bro gots moneeeeeeeeyyyyyy. he has a HUGEEEEEEE HDTV TV with AMAZING surround sound. man o man. the lightsaber battles with the sound turn on high. OMG it was like snif snif. god this is good. the pod racing was def a favorite with the SS. i was awe struck at this amazing sound! also the sismec charges in ep 2 nearly blew me outta my chair! it was like the theater.

I was 2 when the movie was released and 4 (as far as I remember) when I saw it in theatre. It was a great achievement though because it was PG-12...
I may not have been born yet, but to this day (unless Sith trumps it), Return of the Jedi has the best space fight sequence, EVER. Both technically and artistically

Wasn't born, I'm of the new breed of Star Wars lovers that found them when they were on cassette tapes.

Now ive got my nice DVD set of all 5 that are out

Had 22 years old when we go to watch the movie (film) in October 1977 with my future wife.

Think was in THX sound or like Mac, in Surround Sound.

The original movie remasterized is beautiful.

TIP: Hard to wait 3 years for the next episode in 1980! (To be continue).

Egidio.

god jesus whatever that episode 3 was so good... Im glad that Lucas finally made good star wars.. episode 1 & 2 were sucky but episode 3 was so good.. specially anakin vs obi wan was so beautiful to watch  and also fun to watch yoda kicks some ass :o

TIP1: Hard to wait 3 years for the next episode 5 in 1980 and was just married the 3rd Jully!

TIP2: Again 3 years for the next episode 6 in 1983 and my son Psy4 was born!

Very strange coincidences...

Egidio.
