June 7, 200520 yr I'm not much of a car person, but has anyone noticed that the new Dodge Charger looks a LOT like an 05 mustang with a weight problem? Tastes like ripoff to me. I use this as a segway into the real topic: Some of you may remember I said we were getting a new mustang about 2 months ago, well heres an update: Ford must not like money very much because 2 months later they still havent even built the darn thing. I understand there have been production problems, but the mustang isnt a specialty vehicle. You would think with so many people lining up to throw their cash at Ford in exchange for a new mustang they would shift into gear so to speak and get production rolling. We are expected to have a build date within the next couple weeks :/ yeah right. They have extended the 05 build dates into August, at this rate, we may get an 06' for no additional charge.
June 7, 200520 yr First of all, the Charger is just plain ugly, except for the police version which is pretty cool. Second of all, the Mustang is a nice car, but why not get a Mazda RX-8 or Lancer Evo?
June 7, 200520 yr Well, I didn't like it at first, but I'm a converted Dodge guy, and it's growing on me. However, I'm a huge Mustang fan too, and would pic it over the charger right now. Here's some pics of the charger, a tame "stock" version, and a pic of the SRT-8 version.. Available (depending on model) with a 3.5 ltr 6 cylinder, 5.7 ltr Hemi, or 6.1 ltr Hemi.. June 7, 200520 yr The SRT version is nice but the standard one looks just like a Taurus or some other cookie cutter car.
June 7, 200520 yr I'm not much of an American car fan, since over half of them are made in Mexico, and are built like it. I prefer Japanese cars that are at least made in America.
