June 13, 200520 yr Go here http://www.crucial.com/store/refurb.asp Look here for compatability. The card need to be able to use Pixel Shader 1.4. http://users.erols.com/chare/video.htm The 9100 works. It may not be fast. All settings will be on low at 1024x768 but at least you will be able to play. That is if you have Win XP. The system was a Shuttle AN35N Ultra Nforce 2 with the CPU at 2100mhz, FSB at 200, and 512mb (PC3200) of ram with a SBLive sound card. I have been testing much of today and the 9100 ( overclocked ) can do the job but it does not look awe inspiring. I would imagine the 9200SE can do a little better but probably not by much. I would not play this game on much less than an ATI 9600XT (MY son has one and it is doing VERY WELL) or a Nvidia 5900 at minimum.
June 13, 200520 yr I refuse to spend more money on my current system. I cant upgrade it enough to last more than a couple of months.
June 13, 200520 yr I have a FX5700 Ultra, AMD 2500+, 1GB PC3200; and I can run almost ever setting at medium, with the exception of two of the setting on low, 1024x768 @ 70hz. It looks nice and runs smooth.
June 13, 200520 yr hmmmmm... this is getting more depressing ... seems even if we somehow change from win98se to xp full, our 2 gf fx 5200-128 mb vid card pcs won't cut it ? rrrrrrrrr If anyone has an Nvidia Gforce FX 5200/128 mb agp and BF2 demo please post how it did and your system specs. We got 2 p4-1.5's/512mb ram.

June 16, 200520 yr Author The secret is to buy 2. When your monitor goes blank from too much overclocking of the inexpensive cards. Open the case and replace. Ancient Chinese secret. "When in doubt. Keep a spare about."
