I cannot believe that EA has not put a "No other team zone" around the main spawn point. Similar to the out of bounds. I get really tired of being spawn camped over an over and over when joining a game b/c all the other spawns are held by the other team. It is REALLY ridiculous.

 

Even FA and CS:S do not allow this to happen.

Not too small. They can be put on the edge of the zones. It is this way of "Closed minded thinking" that keeps things like this from happening. When there is a will there is a way. Anything is possible.

 

Spawn camping sucks and it really needs to be addressed. It truely destroys the game.

In bfv, this was a problem, choppers could fly in circles with the Xhairs allways pointed at the ground around a base firing at will, with _NO_ anti air weapons execpt for the SA7. in bf2, a sam site at each flag and light armor is MORE than capable of taking out a chopper, which has been nerfed a lot already. and then the spawn choppers hovering miles above your base and guys haloing in on top of you

I don't mind it. War is war. If the enemy has the opportunity to attack the main base of the enemy, do you think they just sit back and say, well, we have all the other positions we need, let break out the cards, and pb&j and wait for them to come try to take them. The idea of this game is to take all the spawns you can, then pin the enemy down, so they can take no others. Does this become frustrating at times, heck yes, I've cussed about it a number of times, and probably will again, but its part of the game. Frankly, I'm getting tired of all the moaning and groaning about a DEMO. It's basic rules are the same as all the BF series, if you don't like those, then you're probably not gonna like BF2, save your money, don't buy it, and go back to playing FA/H1/H2 or whatever it is that makes ya happy....

Good points Disposable, and I agree about the chopper thing in BFV and the points you made about them in BF2. So far, all is well..

I made a pretty lengthy post about this in the FF post, main hall i think. I firmly beleive that you have to allow people to spawn camp when the flags are capped. Do you really expect people to sit around and be completely open to a high powered attack once oyu have the flags?

Even when you dont have all the flags capped, its a viable tactic to try and take out their main base which contains the aircraft. In war, people arent gonna stop attacking bases just because its their only place they can go. Theyre gonna push even harder to try and finish the enemy.

Correction: That would be the Armory Server forum, not main hall.

all good points i guess. the question is do we want full realism like real war that can suck on the less organized and skilled side ?, or some attempt at fair play as is usually the hope in games and sports ? :) :) Just "food for thoughts", or should I say lead. :)
This game is one of the best multiplayer games Ive played in a long time. I like it just the way it is. It feels like they put a lot of time into balancing things out the best they could. Instead of releasing the game and ppl having to wait for 3 patches for it to be balanced.
I think, like the Anti-Aircraft stationary weapon, there needs to be some kind of anti-tank stationary weapon, because I find there's never an anti-tank guy around to deal with that abrams that just rolled into our airfield

I do believe that will be there Caste. I've seen several videos of just that exact thing.. (I think)

I always have that problem when i spawn on the carrier and a jet flies over, booooom i am dead. And what in the name of reason are those apc's doing at full sea? Very annyoing :)

Like I said. Narrow range of thoughts. The objects can be offship on support ships. What is so hard about that?

 

The game would be more enjoyable if this was done. It would change very little since tickets drain and you would not have to worry about campers.

 

The main spawns need to be protected that is all.

 

I have joined the TAC server more than once just to be cut down over and over in main spawn b/c the MEC have been pushed all the way back.

 

Yes BFV was worse. Main reason I stopped playing. Got tired of bneing slaughtered.

 

However when you have 64 players on a server. There are way more spawn campers.

 

We will see how this plays out but when you have a demo released and within a few hours Main Spawncamping pisses people off.

Nope... Part of the game, don't spawn on the deck, grab a boat, and go get a flag..

it is a very good tactic to send one chopper or a tank to the other teams base and occupy them while others take flags. this is a diffrent type of game than css or fa, and it really hasnt been a problem in bf2, you just need to play smart and use teamwork to get out.. if seen it done many times.

it's annoying because there aren't many effective anti-tank weapons. As I said, good anti-tank (1 shot kill) stationary weapons in the spawn would be helpful
