With possible pulling of plug on FA when BF2 full retail comes out at end of June'05, what games that TAC's generous financial supporters may still have serving, might you be able to play here ? I'm guessing it will be 2 for sure, maybe a third depending on contributions, votes, donators and financiers' feelings on it all and input from y'all. :cool: Gator and any other cash supporters have been very generous paying to keep THEIR FA server going publicly longer then they really cared for, "been there done that lots". He expressed repsect for many that continued to use it, so found it hard to pull the plug. A big salute and thankyou for it from all of us. Donations with mention of requested games have and may help if enough for whatever they hear from us. All please respect their costs and generosity for this as well as providing one of the best controlled game servers re/language/cheaters/good team play...etc servers there is on the net !! For those FA lovers like me, a similar version of it is in the works as add on for Half Life 2 So I am guessing it may boil down to HL2:Counter Strike Source and BF2 with BFV possible 3rd option if enough say they will play and support. Be advised that BF2 demo requirements may not leave you out from full retail version. Much research has found various big chain stores like Walmart and Futureshop saying in their websites the retail BF2 they are told will work with win98se and up if you have close to the hardware specs minimum. It comes they say as cd or dvd version. Telling me, it is very big, meaning maybe 3 or 4 cds or 1 dvd. Hence, they wanted their demo to be as small as reasonable for easier downlaoding and likely had to leave out coding for many operating systems other then winxp as well as video cards to keep demo size down. So those of us not sure and wanting to find out, simply buy at store, confirming there the box says your system will run it. If not, return for instant refund. By the way, HL2 AND CSS work in our pcs that may or may not be good for BF2, thanks to someone letting us try HL2:CSS. AND for us FA fans, a similar version of HL1-FA IS IN THE WORKS FOR HL2, CALLED "FIRETEAMS" !! :peace:

June 16, 200520 yr well now....someone loves that ":peace:" :cool: anyway yeah i guess id be playing BF2(if it turns out better than the demo and planes and helis are easier to fly ) and CSS. i personally dont think that FI(Fireteam Incursion) will make it. i mean everyone says that it isnt going to make it and thats mostly the FA community....and they know whats going on with FA...maybe not everything else though . but i think that Junglemist may be an alternative to FA. hopefully anyway.
June 16, 200520 yr if it turns out better than the demo and planes and helis are easier to fly :cool: a demo (aka Demostration) is basically a snippet of the game that draws people in to buy it.They aren't going to make helicopters and planes ANY EASIER to fly (because, honestly, there as easy as they can be now without having an autopilot feature) before the game comes out.

Sorry to tell you Stevo, but some of the best Battlefield pilots use a mouse and keyboard. It gives you an unmatched level of controll and accuracy, but turning tires the arm out. I'm a good pilot, and I use a joystick when casually flying. But if I meet someone in the air that I can't beat with my joystick, I'll put it down and get him with my mouse and keyboard. Oh and I'd play Counter-Strike: Source and Battlefield 2.
June 17, 200520 yr FA because I have only 6 maps running on the 16 on CS:S???? For BF:V anf BF2, I need to replace my 5 years old computer by a new one most fast but hard when unemployed! Egidio.
June 20, 200520 yr my computer struggles with BF2 on the lowest settings, so unless i get a serious upgrade, i doubt ill be paying for BF2.
June 22, 200520 yr Well I pick all except for BF2 because I'm not going to spend $300cdn plus tax to buy xp and a new video card for $150cdn plus tax just to play one stupid game that will cost $70cdn plus tax. And that's just for one pc never mind the other pc. :peace: To me BF2 is not worth getting, but maybe in the future and can afford too I might reconsider.

July 3, 200520 yr Im not the big attention loving kind of guy, so this is my little parting message, i thought it would be appropriate for the thread. soo..im going into high school, and im joining the football team. i have a decent build but i need more bulk at 110lbs , so im REALLY gonna try hard to gain alot of weight, strength, and aerobic strength, by August 22. so, im trying to get rid of everything thats in my way of doing so. So once im done with GTA: san andreas (so darn addicting) im done with computer games. Won't be playing anymore games with you all
July 3, 200520 yr sorry. im afraid G's right for once. you cant just quit. maybe FA but not everything. youll get "The Feeling" better known as "The Craving" once again AND YOU WILL COME BACK! ! but seriously, its hard to quit, youll probably come back at least once or twice.
July 7, 200520 yr BF:2 is my main game atm... however I still dust off BF:V, CS:S, and yes even FA occasionally. Nice to go back to older games with better systems and see how they run
