Can someone tell me how to use the bomb reticle on the planes. I have been practicing on a server I set up, but I cant figure the darn thing out.

I have the same issue Def. I see the red or green line but i still have no idea where it's gonna hit most of the time it's sheer spam when i kill something. I tried dive bombing but that's not a very wise idea byt the time you line up your already in the ground.

yeah, and I have seen what FF can do when it comes to bombing runs, oh the humanity.

you need to drop VERY early compared to past bf games. on oman if i want to hit the center beach base with my su-34, i should drop my bombs a little after i cant see the water (or hit the beach). the cannons are more effective vs infantry in some cases that bombs, so climb high, deaccelerate and then dive at the flag firing randomly and you will hit something, just be sure to pull up.

That's the key isnt it. But really, it is hard to bomb stuff in BF2. Guess it just takes a lot of practice.

Even with this reticle, I find divebombing to be the easiest form of bombing targets. Just afterburn up a good distance away from your target and come back down half throttle at around a 70 degree angle. Works like a charm.

 

Also, when chasing down jets, switch over to bombs so you don't give away that you are behind them. Once they get nice and level switch over to missles

it's not very hard to learn how to bomb things with the planes. go into SP and just try to bomb a vehicle at a decent height. when you've dropped the bombs, change your camera view to the rear and see how far off you were. and just keep doin that. worked for me. i can hit things pretty well now.

 

But my REAL problem with the planes are the missles. jesus, whenever I shoot one and I'm lookin straight at the object, the missle like flies UP and doesn't go anywhere near the ground. wth is up with that?
