how to take a demo

since not everyone is familier with HL1 and 2 demo taking, i thought i would post this.

this was done in css, but the commands are still the same for FA.

when you want to start your demo, hit the ~ to bring up the console and type "record demoname" without quotes, and the name of your demo.

when you want to stop the demo, simply type stop in the console and the demo will stop recording, and save itself to the FireArms folder.

when you download a demo from the forums, or play your own, you type playdemo(hl2) or viewdemo(hl1) and it will freeze for a second then play your demo

to stop viewing a demo, just type stop or exit the game. the end proccess from record to the last stop looks like this in your console:
