Aside from the technical issues of stalled browsers, non-assignable buttons, etc, just wondering what everyone's biggest "pet peeves" are with gameplay. Topping my list would be the mental-midgets who put themselves into a TK position THEN punish for the TK on top of it. Common examples of these vermin would be:

(1) The fool who runs straight at an aircraft taking off, directly into the path of a moving HMMWV, or tries to hide UNDER my APC while I'm actively engaged with another armor unit.

(2) The moron who approaches from behind, SEES you laying down a field of fire, then runs directly THROUGH said fire field. Here's a tip: ALL the small arms in BF2 have two ends - the open end of the barrel is the end from whence the bullets exit. Don't run in FRONT of the open end!

The lack of situational awareness of some of these people astounds me. Mistakes happen, but yeeesh - don't punish someone when you decide to dance in an active line of fire... :)

Oh man, you are going to love this:

The other day, I was literally just sitting in an AA tank, minding my own business, and BAM! I get a TK. Now keep in mind, I have dont ANYTHING. I was literally just sitting there, doing nothing, waiting for a plane to show up so I could shoot it down. I hadnt fired my gun or anything. To cap it all off, the guy punishes me, WTH.

ive joined a server, not fired or driven anything and get kicked for teamkilling
so im flying one of the attack choppers (scary i know) and my co-pilot hits a friendly jeep (full) withthe TV-guided missiles and i get the 4 tk's for it... GG

Oh, I can top that....

I was trying to earn my Engineer Combat Badge, and to help with my kills I was using AT mines liberally.

Keep in mind that the BF2 engine allows your teammates to see your mines and C4 THRU THE WALLS with little skulls....

You guessed it, one of my teammates hits my mine and decides to PUNISH ME. He was the jerk who wasn't paying attention to where he was going.... sheesh!

Yeah, that's why I don't play the engineer anymore. The only thing where it's hard to TK is the medic. I'm sure they'll fix that in the next patch, somehow I can imagine them making it so it's a TK if you don't electricute the correct part of the body or something crazy like that.
I've seen one guy literally get kill his entire team with an Su-34. Our only spawn point was the carrier and so all of us were sitting above deck. I'm not sure why, but he took the Su-34 right down the carrier deck, landing all five bombs into the team. I just remember seeing all of these bodies flying everywhere, including myself. Funniest thing I have seen in BF2 so far.
my pet peev is being about 5 months from owning this game and by then something more exciting will be out :D
Worst for me are the morons that run in front of your vehicle and then punish you for it. I mean come on, im driving along, honking even, and lets just waltz out in front of me.
It works both ways though, some times I'm just minding my own business and get run over, and I was out in the open and completely visible.

That is the drivers fault. If the person is already standing there then you cant expect them to jump out of the way instantly.. But when the person LOOKS at you and continues to run straight at you or keeps going. It's like wow, do you have an IQ of 10?
New Biggest pet peeve: BUNNYHOPPERS!!!!! THEY SUCK THEY SUCK THEY SUCK. I'll spare the details, but I have been encountering more and more of them and it totally kills the fun, not to mention totally detracts from the awesome immersion factor BF2 creates. Im pretty sure they dont teach you how to hop like the easter bunny at basic

Having not be able to play the game for more then 3 minutes i have to say my biggest pet peeve is how long the game has to load for before you can join a server.

I have tried to play 3 times. The first time it took 5 minutes just to get into the server and play. The other two times it took 5 minutes for the server to connect and dl the material, but then my computer locked up and froze on the "pick a menu" screen.

Nope, that's definitely Advanced Infantry training... :D
cant wait till I learn to bunnyhop then, cause it seems to be the most effective tactic ever against enemy infantry

I prefer to use the crouch or dive to the ground approach and use my quicker reflexes and better aim to utterly own the bunnyhopers :D

Going prone seems to work fairly well as when youre bouncing around its harder to aim really low.

the best is when they jump and go prone in mid air and shoot you!

Look at the code and you'll see why: Going prone - even midair - gives you the same "accuracy" as if you were prone on the ground. ;)
