July 10, 200520 yr Went for a little journey today to Kakabeka Falls. It is 24 KM or about 15 miles West of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. It was about 31 C or 85F in the heat. Kakabeka Falls at 39 meters ( apporx. 120 feet) is about 45 feet shorter than Niagara Falls and about 230 feet wide. Some pics are blurry looking because of the mist and the dirty lense. The fourth pic is of the Kaministiquia River that runs below the falls. The last pic is Sandra (squinting and having a bad hair day) and 10 yr. old Stefanie. /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810174094_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810174103_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810174116_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810174132_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810174413_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810174423_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-130810174432_thumb.jpg /monthly_06_2011/post-582-13081017444_thumb.jpg

July 10, 200520 yr Author Klink is the handsome man, yo. The water is brownish because of something in the rocks that rubs off with the water and makes it discolored.

July 11, 200520 yr he's kidding about going over in tube. nasty drop has killed few from strong current catching few slightly upstream where swim beach is, they strayed too far out of cove and into current. ironically, a lot of beer drinking occurrs at that beach, but i doubt it's "unused beer". kidding. seriously though, some have survived the accidental plunge because they had excessive alcohol levels which maybe helped them "go with the flow" better and get less "banged up".
