So, I have 72 percent towards my first promotion, now how long til next one?

It's Lance Corporal at 1000 points. You get to unlock a gun at that point.

 

Then at 10,000 points (that's ALOT), it's Corporal, you get 2 gun unlocks there.

So, at 500 ponits I get what?

No gun just rank increase to something?

nope its lance(1000) then corporal(10500) etc. Both lance and thereafter unlock guns.

I've logged over 50 hours of play time, and have won a medal in probably half or more of the games I have played, and I am still only at the 6000 point. Its a long haul klink, I believe someone on another forums said that it is actually impossible to earn the last rank assuming 100 pts and hour, so I am thinking DICE might revise the pt system at some point.

Well, I just wanna have fun and play some of this team stuff.

I am just trying to get a rank increase so I don't have that private beside my name anymore.

EA made a mistake there IMHO because people like instant gratification and even if you are playing a lot that is a long time between increases.

you shouldnt be able to level up easily, this is like an rpg, and besides you will really only need about 2-3 unlocks since the other classes unlocks are worthless or you dont play them

I just to play BFII and now I have no rank.

I hope this is a problem with the BFII ranking system and not me because then that would mean a lot of work for me. LOL.

At the rate I am going (I have 97 global points now) it will take me about 30 more hours to get my first unlocked weapon, then 12.5 days of playing to get my second. I understand this is to get people to play more often (and probably play "better" than I do) but this is more than a little depressing.

 

I am about ready to give up on ranked servers, especially since the "special" weapons aren't that much better anyway.

the value of the weapons to you depends on what class you play. if you play medic, dont bother with the unlock for that, and the sniper rifle isnt much of a step up from the m24. if you play more supportive roles and most of your points come from teamwork then gun unlocks may make less of a difference to you. try to find a server that has global unlocks 1 or hacked the unlocks (unranked) and try them out, or try it in single player

Yes I want to play on The Armory server soon and have some fun.

if i do get this game, ill unlock G3A3 first, as it was my first love in FA. then ill unlock the Sweeper Shotgun, seeing as its also from Resident Evil 4 and i maxed out all its stats and made it have 100 rounds PER DRUM! >=D! (no cheating, just ALOT of playing)

there were 2 people who said that the next rank is 1000, not 500, before you said "So it's 500?"

Private 1st Class is at 500 points, no unlocking

Lance Corporal is at 1000 and you get an unlock for 1 weapon.

 

Also it might take a day until you actually get the unlock message (at least for me)

I got the in-game promotion to lance corporal but only the next day when I logged in I got the pop up saying that I'm now Lance corporal and can unlock one weapon.

Originaly I wanted to know what I got at 500. I now know I get a rank increase and no weapon.

Nobody answered what I got at 500 jsut what I get at 1000
