July 18, 200520 yr goto run type in msconfig enter goto startup tab uncheck everything you do not want to atart up with your computer I have 35 processes and that seems good for me and I run a lean computer so you are fine.
July 18, 200520 yr If you're not sure what is needed or not, try "Spybot" which has neet "advanced view" menu item under "startup" that shows same as msconfig but adds window of explanation of what each is for and whetehr needed or not. Just ignore warnings that sometimes appear saying bogus virus entry. Some versions have this bug in some systems.
July 19, 200520 yr I'm not at my comptuer right now otherwise I'd tell you how many I have. I think it's low 30s. I'm big on not having anything running while I game. btw is true xfire can cause lagg? In theory ya it could. But it's a really small footprint on your system compared to the game so as long as you have a mid range or higher computer youll be fine.Same with any voice chat programs. However the voice will cause lag if you dont have broadband.
July 19, 200520 yr i have about the same 20 maybe,i don't think x-fire lags bf2 out.cuz i've tried many diff. things such as turning off x-fire/vent/msn ect. no diff. really .at least not for me.
