Hey, I was wondering, is there a fix or something to skip that annoying EA intro(and the rest of the intro)? so I can login immediatly
That would be nice for me too. Too damn long to wait until you get to the multiplayer screen then have to wait to find a game that has a spot then finaly load the damn map and join. LOL.

All you do is rename the movie folder in your BF2, mods, bf2, folder.

movies/macgyver is what I renamed mine.

Ya, just rename the folder. If you dont want to get rid of the background also then just go into the movies folder and get rid of all but menu and menu_loggedin. Leaving those two gets rid of all the intro crap but keeps the nice background on the menu.

If the fix for to skeep the intro is the same as the old BF1942 & BF:V, here the command:

------------------------------------------------------------------

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

------------------------------------------------------------------

RUNNING BFVIETNAM_W32DED.EXE DIRECTLY

If you start the dedicated server executable without using the

frontend, you must add the flag "+restart 1" to the commandline in

order for the server to function properly. This goes for the linux

release as well.

e.g. "BFVietnam_w32ded +restart 1"

Egidio.

Nice try BornToDie, that really dosn't help them but good try for the effort!

That's stuff to do with dedicated servers. What they want to do is clientside.

What you do is you find the bink files you want to rid. Then you make a notepad file and save it as bink format( whatever the 3 letters are, and make sure its empty too). Save it as the name of the file you want to replace and copy over it. Rinse and repeat.

BAM, instant login and play.

Nice, but it still takes almost as long but you have nothing but black to look at now. Ha ha, oh well.

Ive heard that way also gives issues with pb. Mine doesn't. :peace:

Well you heard wrong. I've been using this method since I purchased the game shortly after the release. Just rename the folder entitled, "Movies" to whatever you want besides that title. Mine is, "Movies112".
hit esc

pretty simple

You can't hit ESC while the EA games, DICE, and Disclaimer comes across. During the movie you can hit ESC to bypass it.

Pretty simple :D

If you wan't to be smart about it, you can physically hit the ESC key but you still have to watch the EA/DICE/Disclaimer.

Ya, ive been doing it since release and havent had any problems with pb. And I noticed that it took a while the first time i loaded up BF2 after I removed the movies. But after that it goes directly to the menuw ithout any black screen.
