July 24, 200520 yr I used to play FA quite a bit, but have been off it for about 6 months. I want to return, but i dont want to return to a mod that will die out soon. I hope thats not the case for FA. I just wana know if you guys plan on playing fa for years to come. Well, hope top see you on the battlefield soon.
July 24, 200520 yr FA is alive and well here at <TAC>. Probably, the only server that is populated though most of the time is The Armory server. FAL season is still going on for 5 more weeks and then playoffs. After that we'll see how many people still play and if there will be another FAL season next. I am not the one to say if FA stays or not but these are just some facts to let you know that we are still here to play with.
July 24, 200520 yr Yes, only 35 FA servers remain around the world but only few have people playing on... Egidio.
July 24, 200520 yr daily i would say about 1000 different players play FA around the world, (not all at same time of course)
July 24, 200520 yr I have to respectfully disagree with the FA future being alive and well. Most of our members are playing BF2. There are only a handful of FA players left in the world. This morning just before I posted this there were 51 people playing TOTAL. That to me is not a thriving community by any stretch.
July 24, 200520 yr Oh I realize the community isn't growing but the few left are a good bunch that always play as I said until at least FAL is over then we will see. Definately BFII is the future so buy it. LOL.

July 24, 200520 yr Author I really doubt that is true. I was just playing and the armory was packed and I was having a blast. I think this game is far from dead - you dont need a league just to play and have fun. As long as The armory servers is up, FA will live. - Viva la fireaarms
July 24, 200520 yr I hope so and I saw you there and ya it was a blast as usual. I just think many of the so called 1337 guys will lose interest when there is nothing to brag about being a winner in matchs etc. I could be wrong they could play for the LOVE OF THE GAME like myself and Steve0. LOL.
July 24, 200520 yr Definately BFII is the future so buy it. LOL. I'm surprised Klink, because you said you don't really care for the Battlefield series, is BF2 that good for you to actually like a BF series :o
July 24, 200520 yr I've been playing here for many years on and off... TAC has been the only FA server I've played on in probably the last two years or so. I don't see as many familiar names as I used to, but I'll keep playing FA here until the powers that be decide to turn it off. It's still my favorite game; BF, while tolerable because it has drivable vehicles to entertain me, never grabbed my attention like FA has.
July 24, 200520 yr for the LOVE OF THE GAME rofl, like that'll ever happen... 1337 guys will lose interest when there is nothing to brag about being a winner in matchs true, true...
July 25, 200520 yr Well, it's math. How many of those using server donate how much towards cost of server. How many are original TAC group that started their own server for their enjoyment. They've allowed the rest of us to still enjoy FA due to donations and heavy use. How many are donating members, etc. Most originals are tired of FA and doing BF2 or other things. They got big donation from few quite some time ago (who don't often do FA anymore, some in BF2), number of other size donations from others. But with the "purse" of donations getting small from high net bandwidth provider costs, more may be beeded to keep FA up. Every little bit any of you can send will go long way to help. As little as a few dollars/mth from many, may be enough. If no visa to use paypal you can always pm Gator or McGuyver for address to send few dollars to Good server behaviour on your part plus any size donation every month or 2 goes long way to you and FA players appreciated. Your rewards could me many, like good feeling you get trying to help the "FA team". Showing support and concern for it, etc. Bottom line is we cannot expect free game play on net, even from the big game companies. As the net bandwidth required costs lot more then your single home connection. For these reasons, I accept the low use CSS soon may have to go. To atleast keep the only world popular FA server going for while yet. :o
July 25, 200520 yr as long as people like me who have low end comps and just love FA, it will still be played and stiff be around. I give another year : /
July 25, 200520 yr I used to play FA for a long time. I have many good memories playing that game. I have spend night to night, playing that game. It brings tears to my eyes, if i am thinking of the good times i had with some of my former friends of another clan. But i think also that the time for that game under the HL1 Engine is over. The sound and the graphics are really old now. Yes i liked the HASTA LA VISTA, BABY and I HATE YOU, but i think these times are over. BF2 is the big hit and brings back the memories from one of the best games i have ever playing trough the years: Battlefield 1942. I am also looking forward to the BF2 Mods.
July 25, 200520 yr as long as people like me who have low end comps and just love FA, it will still be played and stiff be around. I give another year : / Yay, one more year ftw. Then I'll be able to buy a new comp and all the BF2 bugs will be fixed. Until then FA is all I want (NEED)
July 26, 200520 yr Man as long as I cant get source and other things working on this computer, and that it still rocks enuff for FA to look good, ill be round.
July 29, 200520 yr I'll be glad to see it go. When my university starts back up in the fall I have alot of math to work on.... :\ <-- |computer science major| So I will be formally quiting firearms.
July 29, 200520 yr I've been doing it for a while - Computer Science as well - but I'm graduating this December. I find a well placed manual clay somewhere Klink will find it a welcome diversion to homework.
